Was checking out the magazine rack at the Harris-Teeter checkout, noticed they have a Top Whiskeys 2025 edition. Will pick it up later when I'm alone,the spouse doesn't need to see me showing that much interest in hootch. 
Polishing off the Bookers that my BIL gave me. He's a UNC fan and was at the game tonight. I'm resisting the urge to text him.

Been down in Mexico for 5 days and get back tomorrow. The ONLY bourbon I have seen is Jim Beam... Looking forward to Friday night!
I know it's not to some of ya'll's standard, but having Gentleman Jack tonight.
Company Christmas Party last night. Had to start with Crown and then had to finish up with Bulleit - the only two brown liquids they had available. Sad, but they still worked for what they were needed for.ncsupack1 said:

Saw Bulleit Frontier Whiskey ad on the tube tonight. Anyone ever had it?
Bulleit isn't bad. It's a poorly kept secret that it is contract distilled for them by Four Roses, or at least was. If you like the flavor profile, you'll like Bulleit.

Anybody win anything in the local bourbon lotteries? I won an EH Taylor small batch in Louisburg. Got nothing in the YVille and Wake County lotteries.
I got zilch. New Hanover County finally moved to a lottery system after years of having a secretive waiting list for allocated stuff. I was in the store yesterday buying a bottle for a friend for Christmas, and one of the clerks was telling the other that she won a Knob Creek 18 in the raffle. That doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence in the new raffle system being any better than the previous system.

Got Zilch from Wake County lottery, but I know of 2 folks that have one the past 2 years. One got the Makers Mark Master Keep and the other is getting Old Forester Birthday Bourbon....lucky SOB's!!!

Louisburg broadcasted theirs on Facebook live, so at least it wasn't a "hidden" draw.

I know it's not bourbon, but having Single Barrel Jack. Given as a gift, pretty good, while watching some college football.

To be fair, the only reason it's not bourbon is because Jack Daniels doesn't want to call it bourbon, it meets all the other requirements. I know a lot of folks like their single barrels. I drank enough Jack to float a battleship back in my 20s, probably why I don't really drink it now.

I did not know that about Jack Daniels, and the reasons why. I've drank a lot of Jack and still do, my favorite, Buffalo, I can't find around these parts but once in a blue moon.wilmwolf said:ncsupack1 said:
