Actually, even though he appears to be a goofy person, he also appears to be very likable.

All they have is abortion! They are betting the entire country on that one issue! Everything else is a charade. Will enough people buy it? To be seen…

Why was this guy picked ? Democrats have a right to be irate at Harris . Total own goal .

One thing is sure. The MSM narrative Vance is a horrible pick and Walz was an amazing pick is dead. Dead.

Both Trump and Vance missed an opportunity there….either should just throw it back in the moderators face and say it's a Tenth Amendment matter for the states, and we're running for federal office.

Vance actually did say that in the debate. He emphasized that very well, saying that each state could make its own laws on abortion.

LOLOL

Nice wishful thinking.

Voters care far more about Vance/Trump's continued Haitian immigrant fraudulence, 2020 election dishonesty, and lack of satisfactory answers on health care and reproductive freedoms than anything Walz said or didn't say last night.

Walz didn't need to look like a former prosecutor last night. His job was to not make any major mistakes and he cleared that bar easily.

People won't remember much of what was said during the debate.

They will just remember that Vance looked and talked confidently and like a normal guy, while Tampon Boy Walz looked like a scared and desperate weirdo and fumbled over his words.

Vance crushed it last night. He redefined himself and killed the op research hit that had made him an unpopular pick and a potential ticket drag. I for one was very impressed and I didn't like Vance. Now I just disagree with him on certain issues. That's a very different stance for me and probably a lot of other people like me.

Now do Vance's answer on the 2020 election that seemed to be quite unpopular with undecideds/independents. Both candidates had ups and downs.

Voters felt like on balance the two candidates acquitted themselves very evenly, as evidenced by all the polling showing an essential tie in the debate.

It was a professional, polite debate between two guys with different approaches. Vance is definitely more polished. Walz is definitely more down-home. Both approaches have benefits and drawbacks.

VP debates don't typically move the needle anyway so it would have taken a crazy outcome last night to have electoral consequences, and the outcome was as non-notable as it could have been.

The abortion thing is a simple win. 95% of Americans are not for the extreme 8-9 months that Harris/Walz are for.

Heck, 90% of the world is against that. Just explain the contrast. These are not moderate democrats.. they are extremist.

Where are you getting this 8-9 month thing from?

You're living in la-la land if you think abortions up to 8-9 months is seen as desirable or electorally supportable by any consequential fraction of the left.

A series of major debate mistakes are mistakes that voters care about, or that dramatically change voter impressions.

Walz's worst answers weren't the type that sway opinions or even particularly get people's attention and were balanced with some effective lines of attack.

And how horrible could it have been if all the polling points to essentially a 50/50 debate split? Trump's horrible debate had even far-right outlets like Newsmax and OAN claiming a sound defeat of Trump. No polling from last night is indicating anything of the sort.

Any guy that can effortlessly go from "Trump is Hitler" to radical "conservatives should get comfortable with dictators" firebrand on podcasts to "women without kids shouldn't get a vote" on the campaign trail to "aww shucks, I'm just a moderate guy, nothing to worry about!" last night should scare everyone.

Anyway, Vance certainly brought his Yale Debate Club game last night, so just being able to pretend to be sane is probably enough to excite guys like Hoakie, and of course the MAGA goons desperate for any kind of "win".

But on substance Vance got absolutely crushed... his big victory all night was to avoid admitting obvious things.

Ummm, yeah, I do think exactly that. That's why Walz's approval rating increased after the debate last night; why the debate performance was basically seen as a 50/50 split; why he is broadly seen as a likable and competent VP candidate; and why Harris is leading in the polls with him on her ticket.

Go look at Walz's approval ratings, and Vance's, and report back.

Y'all should remember too, Walz explicitly told Harris he was a bad debater before she even chose him as her VP. Debates were long-known to be his bugaboo.

The environment you saw last night was tailor-made for Vance and Walz's biggest weakness, and they basically fought to a draw.

Pubs needed last night to be some sort of disaster for Walz's given it's Vance's one time to shine. They needed it to be as bad for Walz as the Harris-Trump debate was for Trump.

Unfortunately it was unequivocally not a disaster for Walz, not even close.

Why was this guy picked ? Democrats have a right to be irate at Harris . Total own goal .

One thing is sure. The MSM narrative Vance is a horrible pick and Walz was an amazing pick is dead. Dead.

LOLOL

Nice wishful thinking.

Only far left voters care about your BS talking points. Anyone with two eyes and a brain could see Vance outclassed Walz by a country mile. Walz has no business being on the same stage with Vance.

Honestly, I stopped reading when you went something-something Trump.

Because you're obviously just a true believer and nothing is going to change your mind. You must honestly think everyday Americans think like you do.

No sir, just tired of the "but Trump".

Well let's all hope that he loses in a month so you'll never have to hear it again.
