Really was hoping for a Tuesday/Thursday start. I'll be on flights for games 2 and 3 which is never fun during the playoffs.

Been a while since I lived there. But, I'm pretty sure there is a train that runs straight from Newark into NYC.
Wed start gives Rags 2 days rest, which I don't like. But Friday night in PNC should be a loony bin!
Is Andersen expected back? I heard it discussed at the end of game 7.

who are we all rooting for in the Lightning - Panthers series?
It feels weird to root for the back-to-back defending cup champs that knocked us out of the playoffs recently but the Lightning havent looked quite the same to me this year and we took 5 points in 3 games against them. We couldnt manage a win against the Panthers in 3 games and they would have home ice advantage against us (we would have it vs Tampa).
So im begrudgingly going for Tampa in this one. What does everyone else think?

I'm torn on who I'd rather face. Both teams are really good- Florida is better but the Lightning are experienced and have proven multiple times they can get it done.
Living in Miami, if its the Panthers, I'll get to go to a couple games so there is that. I went to Panthers/Capitals game five with some friends from DC and we all couldn't believe the lack of enthusiasm/excitement in the arena for a playoff game. Really weird.

Panthers would be a challenge because they're a scoring machine. Can the Canes score enough to keep up with them?
Lightning is the team with the championship pedigree. The regular season almost seems boring to them. They would be a tough out as well, but we get the home ice advantage.

the intermission crew tonight was dumping on Florida for their crowd noise level. They do. Raanta saved them the first period. He's got to have a lot of help the rest of the game. Hope Rod lights a fire under them. No excuse, especially if they think they're just going to cruise through this thing.
Would be nice if we could look like a decent team again. Sloppy sloppy sloppy. Raanta is the only one keeping the Canes in the game that's for sure.
