It's Texas so I'm gonna have a open mind. Hopefully the race will be okay. Saw yesterday that there is talk of changing the track. Interesting.

USA Network averaged 1.908 million TV-only viewers for @NASCAR Cup Series playoff race from @TXMotorSpeedway that went well into primetime (rain delay of about 45 minutes not included)

Same weekend 2021, Las Vegas on NBCSN drew 2.095 million. Texas 2021 was in mid-October on NBC

daytona flood

Although this image is real, it has no connection to Hurricane Matthew or events of October 2016. The photograph was actually taken by Jim Foreman back in May 2009, during a period of heavy rains in the Daytona Beach area:

Weather not looking bad for the races this weekend. Hate to see that Bowman is out, NASCAR has work to do on this car.

No worries. I actually saw this picture floating around earlier and saw people talking about the history behind it. Other than that I would have not known.

Why so? If I was in a vehicle that was on fire, I'd be trying to get out of it as quickly as I could, too. Apparently he knew he was going to hit the wall and stop, and it appears to me he was trying to be ready to get out right then.

I have no idea what he was thinking about but I would have done the same. Fire scares me.

Haven't missed a lot. No one can pass. At all. Lots of 2 wide. One semi-big one toward the back of the field took out 21 and damaged 4 or 5 more.

Erik Jones gave Elliott the push he needed to get out front on the G / W / C restart, and Elliott wins a relatively clean race at Talladega.

On to the Charlotte Roval.

I mistakenly posted a picture of the Daytona track underwater a few days ago. As was noted, that was from about a decade ago or something like that.

Here are some pictures taken Friday after Ian hit. The track was fine, but the infield was flooded.

It was a pretty good race that we didn't have to deal with the wreckfest that we usually get... still frustrating though about the car stalling out on pit lane with 6 to go. Would have liked to see it go down to the wire as it was going.

Yes sir... and he could have easily won yesterday as well. He was as strong as anybody.

Honestly, if that last caution hadn't of come out... it might have been interesting to see what Chastain had in store, he was right there and you know that he would have made whatever bold move would have been required...

That's what i mean…i wasn't faulting him one bit. The sketchy I'm talking about is that he had to. Don't know the specifics..I've just never seen a blown motor engulf the cockpit like that…especially these days.
