It will be a light weekend for NASCAR as both the Cup and Xfinity Series are off this week. The Camping World Truck Series heads to the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa for the Clean Harbors 150 on Saturday, June 18th. The Knoxville Raceway will be a dirt track race and is only one of two dirt tracks that are on the race schedule.

There will be two practice sessions on Friday that will not be televised. The first will be at 7:05 p.m. ET with the second at 9:02 p.m. ET. The drivers should have ample opportunity to become accustomed to the track. On Saturday, June 18th, there will be four qualifying heats that begin at 7 p.m. ET and will air on FS1. The Clean Harbors 150 race will follow at 9 p.m. ET and will also air on FS1.

Per Lake Ozark police, Bowyer was not under the influence at the time of the crash and was the individual who called 911. Very unfortunate. If the woman still has any living relatives, they will still try to sue him for wrongful death... happened to a friend of mine once in a very similar situation and it literally took years before things were able to return to normal for him.

Interesting. To their credit, nascar isn't afraid to try new things. Not that they're always the best things, but they do. Sometimes I wish they had enough balls to admit they were wrong when some of those new things don't seem to work as planned.

The NASCAR Cup Series is off for the final time this year. The Series returns to action on June 26 at Nasvhille Superspeedway.

Don't know the full in's and out's...but have always been shocked that Valvoline deal...at least over the last 10 years or so...isn't more at Hendrick if it includes all the pouring rights at the dealerships...which I believe it does.
