.@KyleBusch re-affirmed to reporters at NASCAR playoff media day yesterday that he has multiple contract offers for next year and that he's looking to make a decision ASAP.

@23XIRacing, @KauligRacing or @RCRracing continue to be seen as his most likely destination.

I'll be glad when he finally signs. Getting a little old.

Yes. I'll be honest but this whole thing seems odd. Will be interesting to see where he goes if anywhere different than JGR. I know it's not popular, but I would not be surprised if Kyle resigns with Gibbs.

How inconsiderate of TV - a perhaps decent college football game on tonight at the same time the race is on. The race should have been scheduled to start at 1 pm, like they used to be, west coast be damned.

I know NASCAR can change the rules and has and this is not for driver's championship, but to me not within intent of rules

Yes. I'll be honest but this whole thing seems odd. Will be interesting to see where he goes if anywhere different than JGR. I know it's not popular, but I would not be surprised if Kyle resigns with Gibbs.

He doesn't have an offer from JGR…and from everything I've heard…there isn't one forthcoming.

So what's it going to be with JGR?

11 - Hamlin
18 - Gibbs
19 - Truex
20 - Bell

Also, what's it going to be with Hamlin/Jordan?

23 - Wallace
45 - Busch Sr.

.@RCRracing is one of the favorites to land @KyleBusch, but RCR President Torrey Galida said he had no comment on the situation Sunday at Darlington.

@23XIRacing has also remained in the mix to sign Busch

Cool in most ways, but it will kind of suck to see those Winston Cup Series signs get painted over after all these years... used to be cool, driving past on 421 on the way to the mountains and still seeing one... just went past there last December, but can't remember if the one that you could see from the highway was still visible or not.

i drove past the Rock the other week heading to Southern Pines, and looked like they were taking the bleachers down. The infra was there, but the individual rows had been removed.

Not sure if it had already been that way before, but first I"d noticed.

Re: Wilkesboro -- given the last pics I'd seen before these late-model races started up, I'd never have thought they'd be able to run a real race there.

Last race that I ever attended at Rockingham (I think Rusty outdueled Senior) most of the seats were just concrete anyway... but maybe that's not what you are talking about.

this would have been bleachers up over the wall as you approach from the south on Hwy 1. The support structure is aluminum, so I assumed the actual bleachers there were same. Looked like where I've seen bleachers being deconstructed in other stadiums before.
In general, the place looks increasingly run down on the outside, though clearly nothing some TLC and $$ couldn't fix up quickly if NASCAR decided to go back. I do get the issue of hotel availability in the area....

Seems to me there's a lot of work still to be done. Repaving (although "they" say the track will hold up for the race, lighting, concessions and rest rooms, probably too much to list, actually.... not to mention probable lack of hotel space, dining options, etc.

Seems like they'd want to get the work done then run the race in a newly re-done facility. But, given nascar's track record of doing things, this is not a surprise.
