Semi-retirement isn't too bad....looking forward to full time. Looking forward to seeing what happens on Monday.

Track-drying efforts were hampered by continued showers, and NASCAR competition officials opted to postpone the remainder of the race. The event is set to resume Monday at noon ET, airing on FS1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

All I know is that I was watching it, switched away during a commercial (probably to the golf, but nba playoffs were on also - so there's no telling!)... must have gotten distracted, because by the time I made it back it was officially postponed to Monday already. They must not have waited too long before they called it.

They obviously raced some more before I made it back though as well, because Byron was still running in the 20's when I changed the channel (had to start in the rear). Somehow, I see that he is now in 5th. I would assume that he is on a different pit cycle to have been able to get up there that quickly.

Chastain and Truex decided to question each others' parentage after the race...I'm guessing they will have a family reunion somewhere down the line this season, lol.

Elliott with the rain delay win. The Hendrick cars seem to have it dialed in all the way around so far this season.

Really looking forward to the Darlington races this coming weekend.

NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Is Wednesday: Who Looks Good on Class of 2023 Ballot

Things have gotten considerably tougher for the 65-person Voting Panel that will meet at 1:00 p.m. ET Wednesday in uptown Charlotte. Voting for the Class of 2023 should be completed by 2:30 p.m., with the results schedule to be revealed at a 5 p.m. press event. The induction ceremony will be next spring in Charlotte, several weeks before Speed Week 2023.

The big change came with the 2021 class. HOF executives decided to make the Hall even more exclusive by reducing the number of inductees. The three nominees selected Wednesday will bring to 61 the membership in the Hall: five a year for its first 11 years, then three a year for the past two years.

Starting last year, the Voting Panel picked one candidate from a five-person "pioneer ballot" and two from the 10-person "modern era ballot." Nominees who began with NASCAR more than 60 years ago are on the pioneer ballot; anyone with fewer than 60 years are on the modern ballot.

The Pioneer Ballot
This year's pioneer ballot includes A.J. Foyt and Hershel McGriff, plus the late Sam Ard, Banjo Matthews, and Ralph Moody.

The Modern Ballot

When I think of those drivers on the Modern Ballot, and a Hall of Fame career, I can't put any of them in. I guess if Edwards had stayed in the sport like many do for decades, he was projecting...but he didn't.
