Just watching here.ncsupack1 said:
Anyone taking the race in?
Agree. Was just thinking that. A few Toyotas taken out there.Glasswolf said:
That was a hard hit Erik Jones just took.
Oh well; close. Miracle Brad didn't crash when McDowell cut right in front of him. I'm going to guess that Ford factory might have a chat with him tomorrow. Fords could have finished 1-2.GetOffMyLawnPack said:Fords tend to do well at long tracks like Talladeger. I'm going to pick Brad Keselowski to win this weekend. He was strong yesterday and I believe he still wants to win.ncsupack1 said:
The 9 team needed that yesterday. As of now it's a JGR and Hendrick run. Ford, they got issues.

While they couldn't bring themselves to say it on the broadcast, that wreck was 100% on McDowell... bush league move.
Like I said. Bush. League. Move.ncsupack1 said:TheStorm said:

The 34 blocked till he couldn't. I guess he thought he had at most a 20 percent chance of that working out and said why not? Took out a lot of cars.

Agree. Brad K did everything right. The 34 made a bad decision.

How many drivers would not have blocked there? None?
Also, he has like what, 0.25 seconds to make a decision (amd execute)? Probably less than that makes a success or no success move?
Don't disagree, but then was it prudent to make a decision that 20% chance this works out; otherwise I finish at the rear of the finishing order with attendant diminished points for the race. Or do I just finish with second place points in the race which will be better over the season? Those are things an experienced driver would have thought through long before the race, but I've not noticed many deep thinkers among the driver ranksPackchem91 said:ncsupack1 said:

No. The argument is that he had zero chance to cover that move.Packchem91 said:GetOffMyLawnPack said:Don't disagree, but then was it prudent to make a decision that 20% chance this works out; otherwise I finish at the rear of the finishing order with attendant diminished points for the race. So your argument is Denny or Truex or Elliot would just have allowed the pass?
That likely was McDowells only ticket into the playoffs. Perhaps if he was safely in he would have played the points (and financial loss) game?

Although SVG finished 28th, he was in the roughly P9 to P13 a lot of the race. Not bad for someone with essentially no experience on superspeedways.
At one time, he was leading a third line charge towards the front... I don't think that it was the same one that Ty Gibbs killed off towards the end, but I could be wrong.ncsupack1 said:GetOffMyLawnPack said:

Agree. He has a future in this sport.
