Its not even that. At the end of the day, regardless of how many people are let go, someone still has to do the job. Its a much better work environment when your boss is willing to stick up for you.

That is the problem I have with unions, especially government ones. No one is entitled to a job. The letter asking for a response should be ok; however, my opinion, it should have come directly from the departments.

Quite frankly, I don't give a damn about Ukraine or Russia. I do give a damn about us sending trillions of dollars to fund their defense in a proxy war against Russia. Who exactly is winning here? Russia will inevitably win the war if no talks take place. Ukraine will lose tomorrow if we stop funding their military. The only ones truly affected by keeping this war going are the soldiers on both sides dying because of the propaganda they've ingested from their governments.

If you don't care about outcomes here with regard to Russia then we're just fundamentally misaligned given the capacity for Russia and Putin's behaviors to negatively impact the Western world. I don't believe any Western nations have the luxury of being able to not care what Russia does.

In regarding fighting a war, funding Ukrainian support and fighting a proxy war is infinitely better and less expensive than getting pulled into an actual war, which Ukraine being given the funding to stand steadfast against Russia is intended to prevent.
