We've all seen Hamlin and Logano do similar things on the track. Doesn't make it right but it is what it is.
We've had many people saying that nascar personalities are very boring. Well, that a personality move. NASCAR needs this type of controversy. Look at the stands at Richmond. Not very full. We need energy!

Like it or not, this will create some energy.

Hamlin did that after Ross wrecked him. And I say that with Ross being one of my best friends. That wasn't aggression. Aggression is fine. Aggression is what everyone was mad at Ross for. He was 3 car lengths back. He wasn't even close to making the corner. Then you hook the 11 for a possible head on into the wall. That was pitiful
We just disagree.

You can disagree. But there's no disagreement that move takes zero talent. And it won't do anything for the sport. Cause next week the 3 will be exactly back to where he runs. In the back. I don't like any of the 3. I'm not choosing one. But Denny and Joey are ******s with talent. Austin is just a ******

A lot of people thought Ross was a ****** as well. I never did! I'm not a fan of any of these guys. In fact, I pull for Mr. Boring, Chase Elliott. That said, NASCAR has gotten too rules happy, for too long. Similar to F1. Right now, F1 is growing, NASCAR doesn't appear to be.

The series, which I've watched since the early 70's, is needing some fire. If this does it, then so be it.

The only person I could see getting in trouble is the fool on the radio saying wreak him. Other than that, I don't see anything happening.

Ross is a ******. But his grandfather isn't Richard Childress. Ross can drive. Look if not for Preece and Wrecky. Austin shoulda won the race. That's not the issue. He absolutely butchered the restart (cause he sucks) and then blew 1&2 on the second lap (cause he sucks). Which allowed Joey a 3 car length lead. If he was on the 22's bumper and he moves him. Or bumps him. Or hell flat out even wrecks him. He was there. And we can all talk about whether that's racing or it isn't. Completely fair argument. But because he sucks as shown above…he was 3 car lengths back. And drove 300 feet deeper in the corner than his car would have allowed him to turn. The only requirement is keeping your foot on the gas. Had he not hit the 22, he knocks down the turn 4 wall and finishes 20th. Aggression. Personalities. Dale Earnhardt. None of those things are in play here. A guy who's not very good at driving had a faster car than he knew what to do with and this is what happened. That's the issue.

At the end of the day, all that you said is irrelevant for me. The series needs a boost and this will create a talking point. If it takes a non-driver to create the boost, then it is what it is.

We can discuss all the capabilities of any or all of the drivers. I do know this… I don't have a smidgen of capability to do what any of these drivers can do. So, I'm not one to say somebody can't drive. As I've said above, this is about creating some talking points for the series, whether good or not.

The NASCAR luster is wearing off…. I hate that because I love the sport!

Let's talk about NBC again here for a second... not only do they push the time until 6:00 PM on a Sunday evening so that it doesn't coincide with those awesome "Closing Ceremonies"... but then even with an open time slot, it gets punted to USA... again.

NASCAR has no business partnering with NBC.

Wow, for what reason I wonder? It's not like the race ran into local news coverage. I'll say this, given the fact that NBC dropped the their portion of the Xfinity series starting next year for more football coverage isn't surprising. Don't forget, NBC isn't even covering the Xfinity playoffs this year if I'm right. CW, is.

How many times will NASCAR show commercial for next race with 3 car hitting #22 and #11 and censored post race comments?

Kyle Busch was at one time that course personality but he's been stuck so far back in the pack the last year and a half he can't punt anyone. Instead he's either getting punted or punting himself.

.@USANetwork got a 1.2 rating and 2.22 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR race at Richmond, down from a 1.4/2.43 million last year, though this year went up against the @Olympics Closing Ceremony on NBC.

@NASCAR was the No. 1 non-Olympic sport event of the week on U.S. TV.

I personally think that the average fan forgot about it. I thought for a Sunday night race, the crowd was okay. Richmond had turned into a hard core fan track. I personally love the long green flag runs.

Can't readily find the quote right now, but prior to the nascar announcement, Hamlin observed, "there's about $2MM difference between 32nd in points to 16th in points, so any fine for Dillon less than $2MM says the move was worth it financially". He ain't wrong.

Considering he's still listed as in 25th place in the points it doesn't matter
