Just saw the #24 paint scheme here in the pre-race coverage. Hoping I see a lot of white at or near the front today.

Y'all think it's charter related? Or Fed Ex just cutting back?

It had been rumored for a bit that FedEx was either cutting back or pulling completely out. Sucks to see another long time sponsor go. Geico is also gone after this year.

Sucks that they are completely cutting away from the coverage during that first caution.

I like the 19's throw back.

The 12 tried, congrats to the 22. As a Ford guy, I'm happy.

Pretty non-eventful in the big picture. The one out of the 4, that I least wanted to see win, wins...

Just seems like they could pick more exciting tracks for these finales.

I agree. PHX doesn't produce the best of racing by far. IMO Homestead is the track that should host this race, run once a year there for the Championship weekend. The problem though is that PHX sells out every year many months in advance,( plus no threat of rain). I know folks in the industry would be sweating over the sellout at Homestead. I will add, I would like to see Vegas host the championship weekend, probably not going to happen but I would like to see it.

Byron was great champion, veteran

Annual Veterans Day post. Red Byron, NASCAR's first champion, his wartime herocis over the North Pacific and his return to racing with his shrapnel-shredded leg's brace bolted to the clutch.

Vegas makes a lot of sense.

.@NBC got a 1.60 rating and 2.895 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR Championship race at Phoenix, roughly flat from last year (1.62, 2.9 million).

NASCAR finished the 2024 season averaging 2.892 million viewers per event on U.S. television, up 1% from last year.

I updated the Topic title to start any off season or silly season discussion.

Stewart Haas is no more. Just a one car Haas team now. What will become of 23XI?

Anything else.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Expect Kroger to sign with RFK and RFK to field three teams.

The two teams suing NASCAR over an antitrust complaint said Saturday that they will compete in 2025 as "open teams" after the sanctioning body removed anticompetitive release claims that will allow them to race while the legal process continues.

Both teams insisted they would compete as open teams, which would require them to show up each week and qualify their cars for every race. Open teams also do not receive the same benefits as chartered teams, including a fair cut from the financial purses.

Agree. I think I'm going to change the oil in the vehicles and go from there.

Adam Alexander is solid. LeTarte I can take or leave.

Jeff Burton constantly reminds me of the clip where Earnhardt Sr. and Jeff Gordon are being interviewed and Dale Sr. says, "doesn't Gordon sound like a little girl?" with his high pitched voice. LOL!

That I'm not sure, Rick Allen made it sound like PHX was his last race. So I guess Burton and Diffey as of now. Also, no problem.

I like both Diffey and Burton. I thought Dale Jr and Burton were too similar, so, the split was good.

I can see the Jr. and Burton being too similar. I'm waiting to see what PRN and MRN do, both lost their head announcers. I've heard that the two companies may merge.
