Time is running out for a few drivers. Homestead is one of the best 1.5 mile tracks they go to. Hearing that Homestead is working on a package to bring it back for 2026. For the championship race.
I enjoy Phoenix but I like Homestead better. I'd be OK with bringing the championship race back there.

Harvick also mentioned maybe Vegas could host it. I think MRN and PRN are merging maybe at years end. Vegas would be a good one, but I have a hard time seeing NASCAR giving up a event to SMI.
Do you think that was a part of why Doug Rice of PRN is retiring this year?

Hard to say, I do know that his wife recently retired as well.

Power move by Reddick. Blaney just must not have been able to run up top.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. Jim Valvano.

Agree, I was trying to figure out why the 12 allowed the best top rider have that lane?

There are multiple items regarding nascar that I am not enamored with these days, but I must say in general, the racing overall this year has been the best I can remember in quite some time. The finishes many times have been downright captivating.

The only answer I can come up with is that he thought he had the race won, and by the time he realized that he didn't - it was too late to stop him.

Had to chuckle during the prerace when they had a rather chubby female National Anthem singer named "Candy Lover"... I still can't get over that one.

Good race. Byron now officially in trouble.

Martinsville is now set up for a really good one. A few crew chiefs are going to have some sleepless nights.

I agree. For the most part the racing this year has been good. This is just my 2 cents but, I think Homestead is the best track they go to. Too bad the fans don't show up like they should.

Byron either needs to win outright - or else only Christopher Bell (or any non-chaser) can win, and Byron has to beat Larson head-to-head with no wreck. That's it in a nutshell for my car. He's not catching Bell on points, and if he doesn't wreck it would be very difficult for Hamlin or any others to catch him.

@NBC got a 1.31 rating and 2.344 million viewers for Sunday's Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, up 1% and 4% from last year respectively.

@NASCAR's Cup Series has tallied viewership increases for four straight weeks and six of the last seven races.

I mean you have Logano, Elliott, Larson, and Hamlin. They are today's stars but no one stands out. My day you had Earnhardt, Waltrip, Yarborough, Pearson, the Allisons (Bobby, Donnie and Davey) and Petty. Then came Gordon and Johnson. All those guy stood out out at one time or another. It just seems different

It's different. I'd throw Tony Stewart in the mix. Now, I do know Jeff Gordon is trying to push his drivers to be more available.

I'll be there, but I haven't eaten one in like a decade. I had a hotdog the last home game and it wasn't bad, wasn't great either.
