One of the best races I've seen in a long time. Not just the ending, the whole race was great…

It was a good one for sure.
I felt the same thing. Continual side-by-side racing on 1.5 mile track was awesome to watch.
Suarez, Busch and Blaney keeping their cars side by side without wrecking was amazing. Agree with it being a very good race. To many times I've seen a driver get a lead on a 1.5 mile track and then just check out because he was in clean air.

Agree. Yesterday was fun to watch. Also, those days when a team was on was hard to watch…basically had to watch the race for second.
I use to attend all the races in Charlotte. Last was during Jimmy Johnson run. Never failed. When he got in the lead he would just check out. Like you said, everyone was racing for 2nd then.

Yea, those JJ cars were definitely hooked up…

MTJ can or could stink up a race too.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is leaving NBC and heading to racing newcomers Amazon Prime Video and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, sources briefed on his decision told The Athletic.

Earnhardt is expected to take this season off and then resume his broadcasting career in 2025 when WBD Sports and Amazon begin their coverage.

Big get indeed, but I'm just not sure about Amazon and Discovery. I have them both but we shall see. I really like him and Jeff Burton.

I'm in the wait and see also. I just want to see the race, the radio is either MRN or PRN. On different note, looking like SHR and Ford are or could be parting ways. Interesting, not sure where they go. Both Chevy and Toyota have their three tier one teams.

As if Dale Jr couldn't get any cooler he is now giving a Xfinity shot to Bubba Pollard. 37 year old driver from Georgia who is basically the King of Super Late Model racing.

A couple of thoughts…

Dale Jr is going to make the new networks successful. He's just that good!
Dale Jr is awesome for giving Pollard a drive at Richmond. The paint scheme is incredible!
Truck race was excellent!
Xfinity race was excellent!

Now, what about the big boys? Is the racing going to be as good?

Hope so. SHR needs a good day ( Ford ) in general. Now that we are away from the super speedway racing now we are going to find out about the new bodies of Toyota and Ford. Also heard about Honda coming into the sport, talks at this point but serious none the less.

Yea, I like all forms of racing. My N.C. roots keeps nascar front and center; however, F1 is something I've watched, since the 70's as well. The recent surge in popularity has been good.

So, when Andretti tried to launch a team, using Cadillac, as the supporting brand, I was all for it. Hearing Spire, and possibly SHR looking at Honda, I say go for it. Now, I would rather see American brands getting more involved in nascar; however, Honda will be ok.

Wouldn't it be great if we had:

Chevrolet
Ford
Dodge
Plymouth
Mercury
Chrysler
Pontiac (yea, I know they are gone)
Hudson (yea, I know they are gone)

Dodge was coming but the sudden death of the guy heading it up, talks stopped. I personally think SHR was Dodge until that point…now they are scrambling. Spire is the current favorite, also, isn't Andretti a silent partner over there?

Kyle Larson's 24th career Cup victory moves him into 36th alone on the all-time #NASCAR wins list. He was tied with Ricky Rudd. He's now one win behind Curtis Turner and Jim Paschal and only two wins behind Fred Lorenzen and Dale Jr. And he's 31.

Didn't get to see a lot of it yesterday because I was at the SW event but what I saw was good. Was hoping Tyler Reddick would catch Larson, which he did but seems he used his car up doing so. Great to see most teams bring cars back home in one piece. Kyle Busch had a good car early but I saw where he was penalized for pitting outside the pit box but the length of his front splitter lol. Why didn't they just push his car back 1 foot?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

At that point the violation was done. Would be my guess?

They could have pushed the car back and been fine. Oversight on the team.

I would dare say that's the first time I've ever heard of that and I've been a NASCAR fan 57 years. Not sure even Junior Johnson would find a way to make that work lol
