Impossible. I was told this was never going to happen and the money had gone away.

going to be nip and tuck to see this ready for next season.
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great.

The shade structures they added to Raleighwood over at CF are awesome. They need to add those to the concourses at Doak and it would help tremendously!

Great progress. Don't show that picture to OSHA.

It's the construction industry. We don't need no OSHA.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration. I was joking, because in the picture, both guys have the hardhats on backwards (which may or may not be allowed depending on the helmet), the guy sitting on the beam is wearing a safety harness, but there doesn't appear to be a rope attached to it, and the other guy is walking underneath a steal beam that may not yet be secure. I40 is right, it's par for the course in construction, but they can fine you if they catch you.

You see it on jobs sites every day. Most times even worse. I just found out I'm the new safety coordinator at my company. I'm the only person OSHA 30 certified.

Should be someone below the beam steering foot traffic away from the area the work is being done.

For me, the only major bad thing about Doak is the press box. It's embarrassing, and makes the ballpark look 3rd rate when compared to other P4 programs. If they would just get rid of that press box, the rest of the stadium looks good, IMO. Tear that thing out ASAP. I wouldn't even care if we had a press box to replace it, if money is an issue. Just replace it with seats for fans. Then in 5 or 10 years or whenever we can get enough money to build a new press box, then ideally add a press box that is elevated and ~20 feet off the ground and moved back, and maybe add a roof or awning type structure over the stands between first and third.

I generally agree but you have to have a press box it's required by the ACC and certainly the ncaa if you want to host. But the press box and that entire architecture of it is an abomination

The entire Doak Field Renovation dating back to 2004 has been mishandled
