Having him be a candidate you vote for is far far far far more embarrassing. Why should Pubs worry about the quality of Oz if no one on the other side was worred about the "quality" of the candidate. Christ, we are talking about Fetterman, Now the least qualified person ever elected. Oz is a clown, but a surgeon lol.

Im glad he won I will be making fun of dems on this for years. My whole life actually. Fetterman!! Dems leader in a single perfect image. A braindead rich kid wearing cheap clothes for credibility. Lemme hear from my Dems on his policies PLEASE. Any takers? Any non-Oz related thoughts?

Im glad Dems came out and voted for more of this. They put abortion over crime and the economy. What DeSantis did in Dade county means he should be our candidate in 24.

These are real disappointing results. I think it's going to be easy to blame Trump; however, it really is Republican leadership that controlled the races as much as anybody. They controlled a lot of the money being allocated.

That said, I've been quiet on a number of candidates and now wanting to say we didn't do our best. Really, the real thought is: our country is more believing in a controlled environment than real freedom. That, for me, is a real disappointment!

It is what it is…

They are going to immediately replace him with his wife due to what they will now quickly scramble to redefine as his "disability"... just watch, because that's exactly what is going to happen.

Winners

I agree, a lot did; however, the money was pulled from some of these candidates as well. That said, I get High Travoltages point

They indicted Trump endorsements, election denialism, and Dobbs.

But mainly what they did was repudiate the quality of Republican candidates.

Let this be a lesson to Pubs for 24. Move on from the cult of Trump, celebrity candidates, and election-denying grifters. Run folks that are substantive, issue-driven leaders.

Cary, your loyalty is admirable. It's too bad it's not ever going to be reciprocated. Trump picked bad candidates, spent almost no money on his hand-picked candidates, and then proceeded to crap on the Republicans who lost and didn't sufficiently bend the knee.

That my friend combined with the terrible quality of candidates is why Republicans lost.

Loyalty, No! Wishing for something that isn't in people, Yes! You know, my arguments have been about constitution governance, Freedom, economic freedom from a world cabal, etc…

I'm more on my own than I figured. To see some of the Democratic candidates win shows me that our country is closer to its demise than I thought…

It is what it is…. Unlike other people (typically celebrities) no other country is better, so, I will watch it collapse in front of my eyes and not threaten to leave…

You can't argue quality of candidate while taking a victory lap on Fetterman. Of course that doesn't make sense to you as an "independent" though.

This is a welcome surprise tonight in spite of the bad news that we didn't get a red wave. A lot of out of State money spent on Supreme Court races simply for one reason - redistricting.

That was actually the race I was the most excited about. Judges Dietz and Inman were both good candidates and good people as well. I personally voted for Dietz but we couldn't have gone wrong. Also happy to see Judge Stroud get re-elected over at the COA. Another person who is both highly qualified and also a high-quality person.

- rights of women to abortion and later term abortions to boot
- climate change is real crisis, and must be dealt with immediately

Hokie, both candidates are probably bad! That said, if both parties ran good candidates, what would have happened? Probably the same.

So, I hear what you are saying; I just don't think it's the issue. I think it really is an ideology thing. The country is far more progressive that we want to realize.

McCormick would have beaten Fetterman. And no, the country is not more progressive, the country wants stable leadership and neither party is giving them that.
