I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

On the latest episode of Short and to the Point, host Jessica Kleinschmidt interviews Fox NASCAR pit reporter/play-by-play commentator Jamie Little. In the lead up to the Daytona 500 (Sunday, February 16 at 2:30 PM ET on Fox), Jess and Jamie discuss a wide range of topics including Jamie's love of dirt bikes, breaking through as a woman in motorsports, the domination of Team Penske and why Joey Logano gets booed, and more.

@Chilis today is announcing its extension with @SpireMotorsport and plans around NASCAR, including a new country song/music video that features the No. 7 and will air as an ad on Fox, primaries with Spire and @Justin_Haley_ having a faux button-down and denim on his firesuit.

Glad to see them continuing their presence in the sport. Went there not to long ago and the food wasn't bad at all.

Here's the new @Chilis country song and music video that it has created around @NASCAR for this year called "Ride the 'Dente."

It will air as a commercial during races

@TheCW will debut a new graphics package for its NASCAR coverage, highlighted by a horizontal bumper on the bottom of the screen rather than a vertical pylon on the side.

CW feels this concept works now since consumers regularly own wide-screen TVs.

@TheCW will only air Xfinity Series races live on its linear TV channel, but it will put replays on its digital streaming app the next day.

However, it will digitally stream practice, quali and in-car cameras live on its app.

Denny Hamlin was fastest in Q practice with Bubba Wallace right behind him. Most cars just ran single car laps

Noticed that. After doing some reading today, a bunch of teams found some little bugs and issues after practice one.

I think Jimmy Johnson is a good guy; however, it's time for him to quit driving. For me, he's killing his legacy by holding on. Ok, he's not killing his legacy; rather, it just doesn't look good…

Perhaps, I really don't know. It almost reminds me of Richard Petty driving to long at the end of his career.

I get it. JJ should probably be focusing more on his team, since he is now majority owner.

You seem to know a little bit about the racing world. Was Petty pushed out? Seems like JJ just maneuvered him right out of there and took that team from him.
