Makes sense , NASCAR and Geico have been running a " thank you fans " ad. Any guess who replaces them? I also noticed that no more Geico camping flags.

Not sure how tv was, but in person there was a lot of moving in the middle to back. Unfortunately the 5 was the class today. Led the most laps in the Gen 7 era.

From what I watched last night it appeared to be a good race with the exception of Larson just being the best car on the track.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

On TV, it was apparent that there is some booth jealousy from Jeff Burton to Diffey. Burton would jump in on the final lap of a segment and push Leigh out of the way. Annoying. It's like a comment from Dale Sr. on Jeff Gordon back in the day, "he sounds like a little girl screaming". Leigh Diffey actually does prep work prior to the race and does a great job. Burton and the other guys just "wing it" and it shows.

But regarding the race, I didn't see as much probably as you did, ncsupack1. The cameras did a lot of tight shots that showed a small segment of the track at a time. I think that's a CW thing. I like their coverage of sporting events, but they seem to take fewer cameras to events, so the coverage isn't quite as broad as the larger networks. I know from the CW coverage of NC State games, I actually liked some of the announcers better than the 'hole based team the other networks used. But they seemed to have only one camera perched on the Dail Club patio to cover the entire field. So you got a more limited scope of views.

Pretty sure I saw that it was on USA, like almost all the other "NBC" portion of the season has been...

LOL, at anybody "stepping on" Diffey... that guy only has one voice level and unfortunately it's "full throttle". I don't care who does the most talking during the coverage, but damn that guy needs his mic turned down just a notch or two v the others...

Fighting for the bottom groove is what made bristol good

The days of riding the bottom and moving folks to gain a spot are over. This is just my 2 cents and that doesn't mean a lot, but this car has issues, it seems like the fix is NASCAR putting pressure on Goodyear to come up with a tire that falls off. What needs to happen but will not ( for whatever reason ) NASCAR seems dead set against.

I was hoping someone would mention how the CW did. I was just glad that it didn't take 4 overtimes to finish, the race I do think finished around 30 minutes before the average time. I think guys had a car that was setup for fall off and that didn't happen, heck, I think one needed fuel before tires. Crazy.

@TheCW got 906,000 viewers for its first ever NASCAR race broadcast, Friday's Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol, the channel's highest rating for any program in eight months.

@NXSTMediaGroup to pay NASCAR $115 million a year for Xfinity media rights starting next year.

From here on including next year, all Xfinity races will be on the CW, trucks are FS1, and Cup will be a combination of of few.

now you can have your family reunion there and everyone bring 100+ friends.

I honestly would love to see the remove all the seats/suites in one set of turns to open up the outside the track view to the mountains again

as far as the racing goes, I watched about 50 laps before I decided it was a crime to watch that boring s*** over any college football game on a saturday night.

Those days were something. I read somewhere that the attendance was northward of 100,000, so still not too bad. Hopefully the folks who came weren't discouraged by the race and come back.
