They are good. Also, like the lost speedway shows.

@TeamHendrick announces @KyleLarsonRacin as the driver of the No. 5 Chevy starting in 2021.

Larson was HMS' No. 1 choice for the slot heading into the season, sources said, and the organization ultimately still got its man following his comeback efforts the past six months. https://t.co/1FH8OFfQhG

Could see that one coming. I must say I'm not a big fan of Kyle. Just me tho

Texas race was supposed to resume at 3 pm ET today. Not happening, although NASCAR says the track drying is progressing. No new time given yet.

Kyle Busch keep his yearly win streak alive. Was hoping Christopher Bell might have something for the big boys but he faded at the end.

Agree....Bell had a good day.

.@BuschBeer has been running more unique one-off paint schemes the last two years, and Anheuser-Busch says that's helping drive sales growth of the value brand.

In first half of '20, Busch sales were up 10.1%, with Busch Light in particular up 17.7%. https://t.co/6A6aeFx67R

.@NASCAR media exec @BTHerbst11 indicated that if history is a guide, the league will start talks on its next TV/media deal in mid to late '23.

??: "Historically how we've done these deals is it's usually a year/year and a half before the expiration of the term that we'd start."

Too many laps under yellow with the truck race...hopefully today is a little bit cleaner.

Awesome win for Chase when your back is against the wall. His pit crew didn't do him any favors either.

That was a great race. However, I'm curious, is there a NASCAR rule for what Harvick did? Clearly wrecked Busch to try to advance a spot. Could NASCAR have docked him for doing that?

Congrats to Chase. Feel bad for the 4 team, to have the year that they did and not make it. Sucks.

I was wondering the same thing. I know NASCAR penalizes teams for deliberately causing late race cautions for their own or team gains. I would imagine something along these lines would apply too. Not sure the severity though. Could just be a fine and not deduction of points. Which in his case would have been worth it.

.@DaleJr is now an official employee of @iRacing, being named an executive director.

John Henry: "For more than 20 years, Dale has been a passionate advocate of sim racing. ... Through all this time, he's never been paid a penny for his contributions.

wasn't there a situation 3-5 years ago where there were issues with teams advancing to Chase and NASCAR added teams to Chase

there has to be limits on how many teams can win championship in last race, but with NASCAR anything can happen

.@DennyHamlin has a new national endorsement deal with @Dominos that is rolling out today and is based around promoting the pizza chain's carside delivery.

The deal, which is just around Hamlin and not any team paint schemes, was negotiated by @PROSPORTMG's Kyle Hall. https://t.co/AcEPP0veld

Not likely...Newman walled Larson on the last lap in Phoenix a couple years ago to make it into the final four. Outside influences yes...but i suspect Nascar actually enjoys when the drivers make these moves

And you could see the 20 could have passed him pretty easily. It was almost like he'd get up beside him, hit the brake and settle for riding behind -- they had about a half-dozen cars stacked up by the end. I texted my sons when it was over that the first thing Hamlin needed to do was go hug Jones.

Was likewise surprised Bowyer didn't back up to help out Harvick. He had nothing else to drive for, as he wasn't going to win....and has no need to do well to get a ride for next year.

Could dictate another change for next season?? Maybe the "Regular season" champion gets an automatic invite to the finals in PHX? Then 4 more via elimination? Total of 5 running for the overall season championship.

That puts more value on the regular season as well.

Initially Mr. H is gonna fund it out of his pocket. Had to get buy off from Chevy, but that was the only convo they had to have so far. Gonna run him a bit and then see where they land. Least that's the plan for now

.@NBC earned a 1.65 rating and 2.740 million viewers (including streaming) for Sunday's NASCAR Cup race at Martinsville.

That's up slightly from last year's penultimate race, at Phoenix on NBC (1.63, 2.588M with streaming), plus fall Martinsville race on NBCSN (1.4, 2.25M). https://t.co/5QtDuADvoi

Radio communication shows that late in Sunday's race at Martinsville Speedway, a directive was given for Erik Jones not to pass teammate Denny Hamlin as Hamlin hovered near the cutline to advance to the championship race. A Joe Gibbs Racing official said Monday that "we don't have team orders."
