NASCAR doubleheader at Michigan:
-- Two lowest rated races at track since at least 1998
-- Saturday race is third-least watched Cup race since at least 2000 (bottom four came this season)
-- Weekend's top two sporting events outside of PGA Championship

.@GuaranteedRate is turning its one-off tryout with @RoushFenway into a bigger partnership, announcing today that it will be the primary on the No. 6 Ford for 11 of the last 14 races on this year's schedule.

That includes the Daytona road course and the Phoenix championship. https://t.co/uuxnIKslh8

.@TeamHendrick has a new deal with @Acronis that will last through 2023 and start with three primaries on the No. 88 this season (Dover doubleheader and Texas).

The story of @JimmieJohnson's first NASCAR race in 1987 is awesome.

Would have to think with the current environment for full-inclusion, etc, that Wallace stands to have several big advertising suitors that may be new to the NASCAR game going forward....like Columbia, which is a very outspoken environment-friendly led company

Asked about industry rumblings that @RPMotorsports is talking to some prospective new investors, Andrew Murstein declined to disclose names but confirmed that "we are talking to a few people who reached out to us about investing in the team," and acknowledged one is a celebrity. https://t.co/OU4cbrcPOZ

Filed to ESPN: No practice, no qualifying and no familiarity with the track are the challenges facing #NASCAR drivers this week as they take on the Daytona Road Course. Perhaps they can find some help via Daytona Beach and it's sands of time.

Was a very interesting conversation. The new car can't get here soon enough.

Sad day for sure. I hear the owners are putting money a Florence track down the road, hope fans and drivers support it. But either way sad...watched most of it on Track Pass.

.@NBC earned 3.263 million viewers (including streaming) for yesterday's NASCAR Cup Series road course race at Daytona; last year's Watkins Glen race earned 2.7 million viewers, but it was on NBCSN.

Saturday's Xfinity Series event at Daytona on @NBCSN earned 1.035 million. https://t.co/P5DYfCVAwe

Other than the starts -- of which there were very few -- the race wasn't very entertaining. Seeing it at Daytona was awesome, but that wore off after a handful of laps. The Xfinity race was more entertaining b/c guys kept driving off the course, lol.

And while the Cup Series may have had passes back in the field, people want to see passes for lead, and Chase led all but a handful of laps in that 2nd stage. Now had he somehow been behind Hamlin on that last restart and had to pass to win, that would have been exciting.

It was also funny to see guys like 100 seconds behind and no one laps down on the "scoreboard".

Was there ever a single pass for the lead? If it was, I don't recall it.
