Interesting for Pollard. He has recruited well and has resources at Duke.

Obviously, the talent pool at Miami is much better.

Will be curious to see how his style fits in there.

Also, the Duke job will be a lot more appealing if it does open up.

They announced today that Duke will pay full tuition for NC/SC families who make under 150K. This is very similar what Vandy baseball uses to get a bunch of kids they otherwise wouldn't.

Injuries played a big part in their issues the year after they won it all (last year).

Good access to Baseball America's website and I'm currently looking over their 2023 MLB draft top 500 list and saw this:

Age At Draft: 18.3
March Report: Marohn pitched in the upper 80s and touched 91 mph in 2022, but he has ticked that fastball velocity up a bit early in the 2023 season and will sit in the low 90s early in short stints before getting back into the upper 80s after a few innings. While he lacks velocity currently, he has impressive feel to pitch, with good tempo and an extended three-quarter arm slot that he repeats well. In addition to filling up the zone with his running fastball, Marohn has shown good feel to spot a slurvy breaking ball in the 79-82 mph range and uses an 84 mph changeup for whiffs in the zone and below it. He's a North Carolina State commit who looks like an immediate contributor if he makes it to campus.

Sounds a lot like Dom Fritton. I haven't seen much on Marohn until I saw this. Just another legit arm in this recruiting class.

This kid can hit. The AAC is a good league so his bat should travel, the power should definitely travel.

He and Ryan Clifford split time at first and RF at Pro 5 so he's got experience playing in the OF.

Had the exact same fielding% and the same amount of errors (5) as Eli this season. He's 6'0 tall and right handed so I definitely hate that from a defensive standpoint haha. Murr and Edwards were 6'2 but lefthanded.
