This whole list makes me excited and old. First , there are really good, fast young men that could help the program improve even over where it is now. Looks like Avent and Hart put together the makings of a great class. Just have to wait for the draft and signings to see who really makes it on campus. Old because Avent is getting second generation Wolfpackers. Andy Barrett was one of my favorites to watch in the past and now his son looks to play for us. What position does Isaiah project to play? It has If, Of and p listed for him.

Better than they used to be. Have to be really incredible for HS position players to go pro now a days. Seems like MLB teams are taking more proven college position guys and HS arms. At least that's what it feels like in my head

we still need another couple big time arms as this season showed. dont think anyone would have guess we would have had a team ERA of around 5. willadsen still flashes being that kind of guy, but still isn't consistent enough. getting highfill back would be huge as he has actual friday night stuff. Whitaker was great this year, all things considered, so he could be a great Sunday guy next year assuming he takes a natural step up. But they still lack a go-to put away pitch. Carson Kelly flashed. Payne flashed a little early in the year. Baker Nelson has shown solid stuff. But overall, those dudes were just pretty average. They'll be needed to take a leap as we probably lose arguably our top 2 pitchers in Silver and Villaman.

But for next year- Highfill/Willadsen/Whitaker looks good on paper. A few question marks after that.

Also, Green must improve A LOT if he wants to play every day in the field, IMO. He is absolutely a liability out there.

Brandyn Garcia LHP Quinnipiac (transfer portal)

Grant Dittmer LHP Lansing CC - this kid has some big numbers in JUCO this season. Currently playing in the JUCO D2 World Series. 10-1 with 118 K's on the season.

Sounds like we currently have a hell of a class coming in. Need to go after some JUCO/transfer arms for sure but maybe not as many as youd think

Doesnt Charlotte have a stud freshman? Any chance we can poach another guy from them or is that avenue closed?

The Qunnipiac pitcher pitched against us this year. Didn't go so well for him but he did have 7 k's in 5 innings.

He was pretty good early on. He's got a lot of interest from some good programs. He'd be a very nice LHP out of the pen or potential midweek guy. I'd like him out of the pen personally. Can really sling it.

I do know that there might be a grad transfer in the portal soon we might go after

There are several grad transfers we are looking at. Also looking at other traditional portal guys. There is going to be turnover for our roster next year.

We've got a lot to look forward to next year with the talent coming back and what we will bring in with transfers / highly regarded freshmen.

I'm really excited about that pitcher from the Bronx, Robert Evans. His ceiling is high. Fastball in the mid 90s. If he makes it to campus I think he's immediately in the weekend rotation.

I'm past this season and on to 2023 for Baseball. This was always a rebuilding year and we honestly didn't do enough on the field.

NC State is the only athletic dept dumb enough to still play by those rules set out by the NCAA.

We should be actively paying recruits and poaching players off any team we can .
