Saw that. His numbers aren't great but he was really really good in their win against Tennessee earlier in the season. Something like 5.2 innings and 9 Ks against the Volunteers.

Hunter Fitz-Gerald. His brother is Pack9 commit Devin Fitz-Gerald. Their dad is the HC at Majorie Stoneman HS in south FL.

Awesome numbers regardless but he wasn't a true FR. He went to a JUCO for 2 years before ending up in New Orleans for his covid SO season. Definitely the type of 2B I want, big bat and slick glove. Had a .987 fielding% this season with only 3 errors.

Just looked it up and he hit 2nd all season New Orleans. I'm sure he would be a fine leadoff guy, for sure.

He's got to hit it better than he has been (his SR year of HS). I think eventually he'll be a leadoff man.

2nd team All Big 10 this season. Looks to be pretty good with the bat, defense doesn't seem great. Played SS last season for Illinois and 3B this year. Played a good chunk of 2B his FR year it looks like.

i think groover is perfect in the 2 hole. Avent likes his best bat there, and I think that is Gino. I think Gupton is our leadoff guy. He struggled some his senior year, but he has also hit .343 in 57 perfect game event games so I think he can handle the bat just fine personally. not sure we have a true leadoff guy on campus right now

Groover will be fine wherever he hits and he might very well stay batting second.

I just thought leadoff because past couple years we have put a higher OBP guy there who might not be your typical lead off type. Murr last two years, Brown this year.

If Gupton can get on base then yea he makes a lot of sense, if not, then it will be interesting to see who is there.
