Lol indeed. Nowadays that would probably drain the battery and put some wuss out of the race...

interesting comment on The Tweeter Machine

This all the owners. They were sick of tearing up race cars during speedweeks so they decided to take away the clash on the oval.

I'm excited about tonight and this weekend. Sadly looks like a lot rain in the forecast.

Hard to blame them. You know most of them are going to have ruined cars after Sunday. Who needs to tear up 2.

LOL. Watched about 2 minutes of the game twice during race commercials, and then never went back... enjoyed the Clash on the Road Course more than I thought I would - but still would have preferred to see it on the full track... don't know how many cars it supposedly saved though.

I agree. I cracked up when Kurt Busch over drove it and Boyer yelled "abort". Hilarious stuff.

Does it still bother any of y'all when stories bout Dale Earnhardt getting killed are aired? It does me, and I don't know why. I had the pleasure of knowing him casually, through a mutual friend, and he was a great guy. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried like a baby when he died, not unlike when my grandparents and my mother died. Even though he's been dead almost 20 years now, it doesn't seem that long ago. IDK, I guess it's a feeling I'll never understand as long as I live.

Ryan McGee put it best one Saturday morning on 'Marty and McGee'

Earnhardt was Superman and nothing could hurt Superman.

Until it did.

I grew up on NASCAR going back to the 70's. Lost interest for a while and got back into it when "the pass on the grass" happened. I became a big Earnhardt fan on that day.

It really is amazing to think of how he was killed. I became a Jr. fan until he retired. Lost interest in NASCAR again until last year. I'm enjoying it like I used to. Not sure what brought me back; other, than some of the new talent. Chase Elliot, along with Ryan Blaney are becoming my favorites. Also, anybody driving the 21 car...
