Agree, just build another day if you can. It's a great race to watch.
The last race I went to was at Daytona... it was the Firecracker 400, or whatever it's called today. Dale Jr. won with Austin Dillion wrecking across the finish line. That race didn't start until about midnight. Rain was miserable; however, Daytona has some good food below the stands.mdreid said:Thats my fear with the Daytona 500, im 30 and ive never been to it, my dad went in the 90's and we have talked about us two going for the weekend but that Florida weather is unpredicatable.MayorStoner said:
welp I will never go back to another race unless I have 3 days quick notice on perfect weather. **** that buying tickets in advance weeks out again, Never ever again. I'm so drained emotionally and just want this stupid weekend to be over with. A trip where just everything went wrong. Out over 2000 bucks for this stupid race I never got to see
I literally talked the weather into raining lol. I was joking with my buddy as they were about to go green that I was feeling rain drops, then he said he also felt them, then I started feeling real rain drops, within 5 min track was wet.mdreid said:Thats my fear with the Daytona 500, im 30 and ive never been to it, my dad went in the 90's and we have talked about us two going for the weekend but that Florida weather is unpredicatable.MayorStoner said:

Yep. Post race should be interesting.Glasswolf said:
Getting a little testy again between Elliott and Harvick
You have to believe that right before Harvick crashed his spotter was telling him that Chase was coming lolTraCha4 said:
Harvick talking about life lessons after the race.
Only life lesson he needs to know today is that karma is a *****.
Yep. And given the fact that Harvick is out of championship contention, all races from here on out between them, especially Martinsville, will be fun to watch.Glasswolf said:You have to believe that right before Harvick crashed his spotter was telling him that Chase was coming lolTraCha4 said:

#NASCAR had a call yesterday with all parties in the Harvick-Elliott feud and warned of serious consequences should it continue. (Am told NASCAR did all the talking on a call of at least six people)
Yep. nascar pusses out once again. They need all the promotional publicity they can get. Let the men settle it like they used to.mdreid said:i still expect shenannigans at martinsvilleWolfer79 said:

This is true, and regretably, it's all subjective. I'd hate like hell for nascar to be a judge in a bbq contest that I was cooking in.ncsupack1 said:
I'm a Harvick guy, but I do understand NASCAR's position, there is no need to cause a issue for another driver not involved. If the 4 and 9 wanna fight on pit road go for it, but no need to cause issues for other drivers. What will be interesting to see is how the sanctioning body handles the 4 if he holds the 9 up…ie like Bristol….we were told that's racing "a line".
