NASCAR indefinitely suspended driver Carson Ware after his arrest Wednesday morning.


Rowan County (North Carolina) records show that the 21-year-old was arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault on a female, simple assault and injury to personal property. Bond was set at $1,000. His court date is Nov. 19.

Ware is the son of car owner Rick Ware and the brother of driver Cody Ware.

Carson Ware was to have driven in Saturday's Xfinity Series race for SS Green Light Racing. It was to have been his seventh series start this season.

Garrett Smithley will replace Ware for SS Green Light Racing.

The team issued a statement that read: "This morning we became aware of a situation that involved Carson Ware. Upon further information, we have indefinitely suspended Carson Ware as a driver at SS Green Light Racing. We are taking this matter very seriously as the facts come to light. At this time, Garrett Smithley will be the driver for the No. 17 entry at Kansas Speedway.

Hamlin showed his ass yesterday. Don't understand the mindset. It's comparable to the Harvick situation a couple weeks ago. It's like these older drivers think the young guys are just going to roll over for them. Hamlin threw a fit yesterday but literally did the same thing to Chase a couple years ago. Hamlin knows good and well if he was running second yesterday he would wrecked Bowman in a heartbeat. Crazy how some of these older drivers have acted like babies this year. These older drivers need to remember that these young guys are driving for jobs, opportunities, and establishing careers…… the same way Hamlin drove when he was younger in their shoes.

Hamlin was way out of reasonable when he screwed Bowman on his celebration. That being said, I had no problem with what he said, in his interview! Now, NASCAR may not appreciate it and his facts are just wrong!

Bowman is not a hack! The guy has won 4 times this year!!!

Hate to see that they are staying with the Indy Road Course again next year instead of going back to "The Brickyard" format... that was a race that I always looked forward to watching every year after it was originally added back in the '90's.

Should have some better viewing numbers by being on USA. NBCSN wasn't in enough homes like FS1. Jmo
