To me it's going to be hard to keep Hood, Green and White out of the lineup. Add in Groover, Pilolli plus Soles, Truitt, Brown, Giles, Eisert… there's getting to be little space for JT (even though I know Avent will have him in there, and probably rightfully so).

JT might be the best defensive 2nd baseman in the country next year, so he'll play assuming the O works out (which I think it will).

The question with JT isn't if he'll play, it's can he bring the bat the he had in the covid shortened year? In 15 games, 10 starts, he hit .333 (15-45) with 6 doubles and 2 home runs. A .600 slugging for a .988 OPS. Those are big time numbers.

Do I think JT is a .333 hitter with that pop next year? Probably not. But I do think he can be a .280ish hitter, a dozen doubles, few HRs and a low K rate.

Hood and Green will probably rotate and Groover will probably rotate in and out of the DH Spot with Hood
