For Civ, Smapty, Wufskins, and others…. What are your thoughts on the narrative being stated, in these tweets?

I'd say stop passing bills making IVF illegal , the GOP could get ahead of this nonsense and put an end to the fear monger.

Awww, poor Republicans. Dems are being so UNFAIR after you trashed a 50 year precedent and decided to force women in 13 states (so far) to have rape babies. And yes, Alabama is in fact trying to go after people who cross state lines for abortions.

I'll need to google which state but I know at least one red state passed a law that makes it a crime to assist a minor in getting an abortion in another state. That's likely what this ad is referring to.

The US Congress has just voted to protect every country's border not named USA.

Don't you love how certain people use words? a 50 year precedent? 50 years of unconstitutional rulings, is more appropriate...

Wait, why were you upset by that commercial, again? Isn't cops arresting women for getting abortions what's you've dreamed about? Or you just don't like it being said out loud in an election year?

I'll say this. The leaders of the GOP better start getting ahead of this messaging or November will end bad. Once again " messaging " is key here. Call me a liberal if you want ( I'm not) but this abortion issue is not going away. Heck, the guy running for governor of NC had to admit to paying for one. WTH is going on here?

Ok, I'll bite - what states are arresting women for getting abortions? All I see are reports that deal in fear porn that it could happen. Now there are cases where women who self aborted being charged.

As to the ad, what state forbids a woman from leaving the state to get an abortion. I don't know of any but I'm sure you'll provide a list.

I didn't click on the link, but I'm guessing she said yes, since you posted. Look maybe don't care, I mean if they lose Congress and the WH, the stolen election train continues.

Idaho has become the first state to pass a law explicitly restricting some out-of-state travel for abortions.

The new legislation makes helping a pregnant minor get an abortion, whether through medication or a procedure, in another state punishable by two to five years in prison. Gov. Brad Little, a Republican, signed the bill on Wednesday night, and it goes into effect after 30 days.

The new legislation makes helping a pregnant minor get an abortion, whether through medication or a procedure, in another state punishable by two to five years in prison.

Idaho's new law offers those who facilitate a minor's access to abortion a reasonable defense against prosecution if the parents consented.

"When you're talking about a minor being transported across state lines, especially for a medical procedure without parental consent, I think that is clearly within the authority of the state of Idaho to criminalize and discourage," Ripley said.

So if I'm reading this right the parents can travel out of state with their minor child for an abortion. Or they can give consent for someone else to do so. What can't happen is a 3rd party taking a minor child without the parent's consent. IOW Idaho is sticking up for parental rights to be involved in the decisions affecting their minor children.

The law doesn't apply to non-minors and I don't see a problem with what they have passed.

Using words, way out of context, is exactly the product of Marxist! If a Marxist can change the meaning of a word or its usage, then that allows for the breakdown of society.

But the parents can't take their minor that has been raped and impregnated to get an abortion in the state of Idaho. You ok with that?

I didn't read the law; however, if the commentary above is accurate, then I have no issue with it…

If we are talking about the same state law, it states with parent consent. Sounds like parents can. unless I read wrong.

I don't personally agree with it but if that's the law they passed and you still have viable options outside of the state then yes.
BigBarryWood
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I still think they can't in the state. They would have to travel to a neighboring state

That's for taking them out of state. The state of Idaho has no exceptions for rape or incest.

Do you reside in Idaho? Not likely, and you're cherry picking.

It's a state's rights issue. Lobby your state's legislative body and vote accordingly.

I've been told in the past over other issues, that if it doesn't effect me, why should I care?
