There a list of who the top new / rookie cars are this year?
I feel like I've missed all the NASCAR news so far

Mike Cofer was the 49ers kicker when they won in 1988 and 1989. He won a Southwest Tour race in 1994 and planned to run Trucks full-time in 95 but returned to the NFL. He ran 3 Truck races in 2002 pic.twitter.com/9DJBxbqh2X

.@Daytona says it is now entirely sold out for this weekend's 500 on Sunday, with infield fanzone tickets and hospitality options gone alongside the previously announced grandstand seating.

🔲 The track also says that next year's race will be on February 18th, 2024. pic.twitter.com/JiKgRDx12L
.@NASCAR is in active talks to bring a race to the New York City area, per COO Steve O'Donnell, and they're also looking at possible Cup races in Denver, Seattle, Mexico, Canada, and an international series in the Middle East. https://t.co/Y8xN6RXaac

That's not awesome. Moving the **** show to a different stadium near New York City still doesn't do anything to improve the racing itself. Denver? I mean, maybe... Seattle? I mean, why?Wolfer79 said:

Martinsville should get 2; you left them off completely, as well as Nashville and / or Knoxville.caryking said:
NASCAR needs to throw in the towe, on expansion!! F1 is going to get stronger in the US. When it does, young people will see it as an opportunity to follow because of its elite nature.
If NASCAR expands itself too much, they could create a financial crunch on teams, without a growing fan base, in those new areas. Stick to what got them there…. NASCAR is a southern sport; so, create a core southern charm with a few other areas for the few fans, in those areas….
Also, cutback to about 26 - 28 races. Each track needs two dates, in the south, with one date outside the south.
In the south: Daytona, Darlington, Charlotte, Talledega, Richmond, Atlanta, Bristol, N. Wilksboro, Rockingham. That's 18 races.. now, what are the other tracks that get a single date.
Yes I did! Give Martinsville 2.Bell Tower Grey said:Martinsville should get 2; you left them off completely, as well as Nashville and / or Knoxville.caryking said:

Qualifying tonight!
I'm going with a front row of Alex Bowman (Pole) and Kyle Busch (Outside)
Agree. It seems that with the drivers having to qualify without any practice a lot of drivers used their race set up instead of a qualifying trim last night. They had data from the race/qualifying from last year so it should be interesting.ncsupack1 said:
Hendrick again. Let's see how they do in the race. That's were they haven't done so great.
I think they run just as well as anybody else once the race starts... but if you get taken out in a wreck that you personally have nothing to do with (like happens to many others as well), there's not much that you can do about it. Just seems like Byron and Bowman get taken out somehow every year here at Daytona lately.ncsupack1 said:
