Over the course of five days, Daytona will host the season openers of the NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, Truck and ARCA Menards series. For the first time, there will be no practice sessions prior to Cup Series qualifying or the Daytona 500 qualifying races.TheStorm said:
Just one week until the Clash (2/5)... I know that qualifying for the 500 isn't until the 15th, but when exactly do the teams arrive to Daytona and start practice?
I've only been to one race at Daytona. It was the July race, when Austin Dillon's car was torn to pieces crossing the finish line. Of course, Dale Jr won the race….ncsupack1 said:
Definitely get a lot of racing that week. I've been and go to a lot of races but have never been to the 500. Not sure why?

Why does Cadillac have an entry / entries in this race? I don't understand. Their public market seems to be SUVs; their luxury cars aren't that much any more imho. Is it a GM thing? Certainly understand Corvette presence, but Cadillac?

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that I won't be.
Maybe someone will "pull a Chastain" to add some more excitement to it for me.
