I am at a point with ECU baseball where I think they need to start proving themselevs more on a national stage, and quit receiving all the credit that they do get. A slew of postseason disappointments. Six of their seven regional wins have been at home, so basically they fluff their way into hosting only to get likely smashed in a regional or definitely taken down in Supers.
I consider them a good but not great program, and I think the onus should be put on the Pirates to change that perception.
Could you imagine what NC State fans (and, more importantly, the supporters of their adversaries) would say if the Wolfpack was 0-for-7 in Supers?

I don't have a problem with ECU. Amen to them. I'm just disappointed by their lack of postseason success relative to where they are consistently ranked.
In fact, I think there's a huge portion of the ECU fan base that agrees with my take. I'm at the point where they either need to do better or accept that they can't be listed among the top-10. No rational person would want to take a step back, so all that's left for the Pirates is to take the next steps forward.
Baseball is different than any sport. Great teams fail, but ECU cannot let Evansville go into Greenville and beat them twice. It just can't happen.

100% my brother grew up a state fan and played golf at ectc...I've told him they should start them ranked 50 or so each season and see where they end up. I'm guessing 25-30....which would put em outside the supers yearly. Rpi is ****
