I'm wondering if this is coming from the Vanderbilt side. We've gotten confirmation through various sources that the majority of our guys are there. Maybe vandy is pushing back at playing. At this point, if we have nine guys that have tested negative and are ready to play, then play ball.

Like it or not, I'm sure Vandy is doing what's "best" for their chances to advance to the CWS.
If that means they have a so-called legal right to not play us and force us to forfeit... I wouldn't be surprised if they take that route.

Would it be the most ethical thing? Nope.
But I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

It will come down to how the rules are written around the health and safety protocols, and what responses are accounted for in those rules. But, yes, I agree that if a team can be fielded of players who have passed protocols, then a decision by the opponent to skip the game should be counted as a forfeit.

Per source, Vanderbilt wants the whole team tested again. Doing so would likely mean the game would be postponed. More positive tests would likely mean a forfeit.
