Sam is awesome. He doesn't get too high and is never too low. Perfect demeanor for a pitcher.

If he owns one, I doubt he brought it to Omaha. Gotta be a teammate, but it's a different color than the one Murr uses.

That play was because of the earlier play where Sam didn't pick the throw from Vojtek, he was hesitant to throw it to him.

I would think it's to make sure highfill wouldn't have to make any big throws.

That's the reason, to have his bat but have available if he needs to throw. That and putting him in a place he doesn't have to run much.

Murr has played OF previously at his JUCO and IIRC, Sam played some first last year.

The regulArs really haven't done jack. Everyone just seems to be trying to make that game changing swing. Just need to string hits together- barrel to ball. Get it in play and make that big pitcher work.

Approaches have been much better with the bottom half of the lineup precisely because they're not try to do too much.

Short. Compact. Keeping their head in. Quick to the ball.

Need more of that!!
