NC State star guard Zoe Brooks went down with a lower leg injury in the third quarter against Tennessee, and head coach Wes Moore was asked about her status after the win.

“No, it's a foot situation and don't really know any more than that,” Moore replied when asked it if was a knee injury.  “But obviously she was in some pain or I'm sure she would have been out there.

“Hopefully we can get her back, but at this point, all I know it was a foot, which is better than a knee.”

Moore added more detail on the injury in the postgame press conference.

“They took her in when she got hurt,” he said.  “When I went out on the court, of course she was trying to be tough and saying I'm okay, but then I didn't see her the rest of the game, so that's not good. But I've been told, again, it's a foot and they're trying to treat it as well as they can and we'll see. I have no idea how severe it is. But obviously she's an important part of what we do.

“Hopefully my Johnson Bible College education and my direct prayer line will come in handy tonight.”

Brooks had eight points in 17 minutes when she suffered the injury.  An All-ACC guard, she is averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.4 points this season
