I don't like to do that either early in the game. But I'm thinking maybe Avent thinks it will be a low scoring game and was trying to get at least 1 or2 there. So i didn't think it was a bad idea, but that was a poor decision (imo) not to force their cf to throw you out at the plate. Don't know if that was player's or coach's decision.

Having trouble getting his breaking ball down. The home run ball he threw should have dropped, but it didn't. Fastball looks good, but has to get the breaking ball to drop a little more consistently.

Internet went out for a minute. With regards to the bunt, Mensik is a dead pull hitter and your catcher is the lead runner, that's a recipe for a double play. So I don't mind the bunt. Agree that they should have sent Tresh on the tag.
