Question for you my friend. Do the republicans have all the answers? Do they have the perfect agenda? Do they get everything right? When they don't, and you continue to re-elect them aren't you also part of the problem. I may vote for a democrat in a general election but if they don't perform as I expected I vote for someone else. The GOP, it seems voted GOP just because the candidate is GOP. I voted for Biden and I won't take it back. I do not want him to run again. Who is the answer? I'd vote for Nixon tomorrow if someone could dig him up! Only thing he did wrong was he got caught. Quite frankly, your hyperbole is part of the problem. It's not easier to get a gun than it is to get treatment for anxiety, depression, etc. Maybe your family has a harder time with the treatment prescribed but treatment is readily available, arguably over available if you look at numbers of people on anxiety medicine.
Sorry. But that's not the whole story. I don't care to delve into your wife's medical history, but guessing your situation would better compare to purchasing a pistol in Durham. "Treatment" is readily available.
It cost me $2400 out of pocket for two 12 day stays at Triangle Springs. Another $8,000 for what wasn't covered by insurance. $120 a month since December 2018 for therapy plus $180 for meds since that time. I can buy a Glock G34 for less than $800.
I edited my post to clarify my point a bit more.
You'll get no argument from me on medical costs. I recently had an ER visit that cost me thousands that they wanted me to pay for up front before any treatment WITH me having insurance. Also waited over 10 hours. Also watched the crackheads with no insurance go ahead of me that won't pay a dime.
That doesn't mean a glock should cost more.

When you use that as your platform I have to say that is not what our Founding Father's idea of America was or is.
And they have already told you for the past16 years that is what they intend to do. They envision America as a Socialist/Marxist Global entity.
See Canada.
What changes to the Constitution have the GOP candidates ran on?
They could have abolished the filibuster and federalized elections and expanded the SCOTUS in President Trump's first two years easily but they didn't.
The GOP does NOT want to fundamentally change this country. One party does and they have been running on that since 2008. FACT.

The 2nd Amendment gives every American citizen the right to defend themselves and SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. The shooter in Nashville bought all her guns legally. She wanted to be male although that can never happen, so apparently she had some mental disorders and wanted to hurt people and she did. It's a tragedy for the parents and families who have to deal with her mental breakdown, but fortunately she won't be hurting anybody else.
No other countries have a Constitution like we do. Probably many of those countries you are referring to also have taken the guns away. You give up your guns you give up your freedom. If you choose not to own a gun that is perfectly alright. Freedom is a great thing. Just hope you don't get in a situation when you need a good guy or girl with a gun to protect you and your family.
Quit making schools Gun Free Zones. They are unfortunately sitting ducks and that is on the adults. The children, unfortunately have to bear the brunt of stupid decisions like Gun Free Zones.
