This is what I was hoping for. If LSU were trying to wait until April 1st to make a move, then State and its fans should pressure them to do it earlier. LSU better pay State its money!

This may be a blessing in disguise. This was always going to end in disaster with the way these 'negotiations' have gone. Good riddance.

Can we sue LSU & him if they slow walk the exit to 4/2? I'm positive Boo has investigated how to keep the $5M with our legal team.

Heard we were top 5 in NIL during the season, and there's no chance $8m is top 5.

We did not have 12 million. The most trusted person I know who has worked in the Athletic Department for years consistently heard somewhere between 9-10 with all sources. I still don't know how close to accurate that is. It's what makes this so frustrating. Donors might step forward if they knew we were at 9, UVA is at 12, UNC at 14 and DUke at 17. But with all the secrecy, there is really no way to make a logical case (which is to what most NC State fans would react the most positively )

100% agree with this. Everyone related to State needs to be calling this dip**** used car salesman out and not creating a narrative that State didn't do what was asked and promised. Guys with platforms, like James and IPS, need to stop pushing the narrative of the admin interfering and mentioning things like uniforms when discussing this. This guys words said that he had what he asked for and wanted, but his actions proved that he is who he's always been.

Yep, time for me to step away from college sports for a while. This isn't worth the continued headache. Y'all have fun.

JG might be the next great coach but we will have to suffer through a pretty apathetic off season if he's the hire. I just don't see it generating that much excitement.

On the other hand the last two hires in the triangle that have generated a lot of off season buzz (Belichick and Wade) haven't gone so well.

Agree with the posts about the State sites feeding into the narrative produced by Wade. Dude said he had everything he needed. He lied. Simple as that.

With that said, not everyone in Wade's inner-circle agrees with the move and I believe some staff won't go with him.

Specifically, if I was looking for front office personnel, I'd made a call to GM Andrew Slater and see if he was available.

I don't really care anymore. Hire whoever you think we will be best and i'll either get excited or apathetic based on roster moves, commitment, systems, etc. If we hire someone and they can't get any talent and are boring then I'll know we're headed for a ****sandwich couple of years.

I stopped watching midseason. The Pack feasted on lesser teams and never beat a quality team. From the headlines it seemed to me that Wade blamed the players each time the team HE coached folded.

Quite honestly, I was surprised when the Pack made the tournament, even as a play-in team. Given the resources and the respect he had as a coach, I was surprised by the season. Even so, I was hopeful for the future. Now he's a footnote in NC State history, much like Press Maravich.

I think he'll be "successful," although he'll never win a conference championship much less a national championship. If the NCAA tourney is your goal, he's your man.

I'm glad he left before he brought shame to the university.

Remember when he said he really learned about leaving on bad terms the last time he went to LSU and making amends…how unprofessional he handled the situation.

This may have been a fait accompli for weeks or even months now, but if the reporting is accurate and Boo et al were surprised by this….That's extremely concerning and deserves some scrutiny.
