If it was a final four or national title game, I really don't know. I wouldn't be "pulling" for carolina but I wouldn't be too upset if they won.

Wow I feel dirty. I didn't think anything in this world would ever make me type that but here we are.

Still not cheering for Carolina. Short of the Al Qaeda all stars building a squad I'm not picking someone else.

Joe has always had integrity. He's a really good dude if you talk to him like a human, and more importantly this rant should demonstrate to all of you that he is an incredible husband and father.

At the minimum, my only request would be for you to educate yourself on the KIDsCAN program that Terrence and Torry started.

I think with how he has it setup to insulate himself, he'll be there as long as they'll let him, but I also don't believe that his word or a contract means anything to him, and if there's something that comes along that benefits Will Wade more, then Will Wade will do it.

Wade's just a really weird dude. Watching that video, he even hugs weird (with everyone not just Shroyer). Shirt buttoned all the way up etc. He's just a really weird nerd who figured out how to coach kids to play a game I have no doubt, has never had any skill in himself.

Have any of you had a boss hire you and then work for him (or her) for two years in a supervisor/supervisee role and then hug that individual like that after not being employed by them for 1 year? That's the part that was weird to me.

Weird to me too, but when you think your career is over for good and somebody throws you a lifeline, you may have some type of bond that you and I aren't used to.

I asked Rod Brind'Amour, who has pretty deep ties to NC State, about Wolfpack coach Will Wade's departure to LSU. Some good insight here:

"I know the program pretty well. I didn't know Will. I've got a good relationship with (AD) Boo (Corrigan). I've got a good relationship with (NC State baseball) coach Elliott Avent; he's a great family friend. They need to hire a guy like Coach Avent. That's what you need to do. Get a guy that gets it, a guy that's a good people person, that's in it for the right reasons. That's what they need to hire."

Followed up asking if the program needs someone like him with the Hurricanes, that understands the region and the program; a Sidney Lowe-type even though that didn't end up working for NC State.

"Well, that's maybe a different reason, but it's the right guy, if you get what I mean. A guy that appreciates here. In today's college atmosphere. I don't know it's different. There's no loyalty anymore, clearly. I mean, it'd be nice if you get that feeling back. That's what was so great about college. You go to a school, and you're part of it forever. And what are we doing? And this a prime example.

"I'm sure there's a guy out there that still has that attachment to the place. I think that would be a start. If we want these kids to stick around, how do you I don't know, it just blows my mind that that's how that all went down. But I think he did them a favor."
