It is incredibly toxic. I want nothing to do with that area or state or University. Nothing admirable about them down there.

The Wade era taught us that while he was neither physical nor tough, he was definitely alert and aware.

We took a swing at a big league guy that the fanbase really wanted and we landed him. Ended up biting us in the butt. Lesson learned. Time for Boo and Kevin to ignore fan favs and actually go hire the right guy for NC State!

Honestly got tired of my Nairo caricature, dove my plane into the ground then imposed a two month exile on myself. For the record I knew this was likely to happen back in late January but just couldn't endure the infighting on here as the season went into the ****ter, and knowing the underlying reasons but not being at liberty to share. Glad this blight on our university is over and it didn't last a day longer.

If we don't hire someone quick there's a domino effect though. If Florida or Alabama or whoever else is looking for a coach they will be looking at similar candidates at the same time.

Nah you were always a Keatts fluffer and were willing to throw more good money at that bad product. He's gone and you need to move on from it.

My dad went to LSU and I still have a ton of family in Baton Rouge. I had been an LSU fan after NC State. Not anymore.

$8m and finishing 7th in the ACC is what I would expect, given that would likely be middle of the road in the ACC.

We did not have 12 million. The most trusted person I know who has worked in the Athletic Department for years consistently heard somewhere between 9-10 with all sources. I still don't know how close to accurate that is. It's what makes this so frustrating. Donors might step forward if they knew we were at 9, UVA is at 12, UNC at 14 and DUke at 17. But with all the secrecy, there is really no way to make a logical case (which is to what most NC State fans would react the most positively )

Hearing he meet with Boo yesterday morning and Wade presented the compensation package from LSU. Boo told him lets meet in the afternoon so we could counter. They had a meeting scheduled for 2PM and he never showed or returned any calls.

We will always need more. But given what our big budget coaches spend that $9mil on did we really need $12mil? They got their "#1 player in the portal" along with several other high dollar guys everyone thought were great gets. TA was a bust, TH was average at best and bad down the stretch, Sagnia ended up being a bust and unplayable when it mattered, I don't need to talk about the DWill part anymore..... Only player that we got our moneys worth from was VAL, P2, and Q. Did we not have enough $$ or did we not spend the $$ wisely and do a crappy job evaluating/coaching? It's pretty obvious to me it was the latter. Spend the money wisely and show true success first and you will get more. The $9ish mil is more than enough to field a consistent top 15-20 team if you use it properly from what I saw this season across the country.

This is what WW is. This shouldn't surprise anyone. We had hoped he had changed. But he's still what he always has been. Hopefully he doesn't leave us any landmines on his way out and get us on probation etc.

NC State is about to be plus $5m for letting an undesirable coach slither away and we are mad at Boo?
