Should have known that man was a pathological liar when he claimed to jog around campus before going to work.

This has been in the works since October I'm not sure there is much that would've stopped this from happening.

I do think our administration should've been mor aware … this was an open secret all along .

Wishing nothing but the worst for Will Wade and especially LSU. LSU now has this jackass, Lane Kiffin, and Kim Mulkey as their big three coaches. Does any other school have coaches that so perfectly embody how unlikeable the university is?

Only person I'm disappointed in is myself… I fell hard for the WW shtick and wanted him bad last offseason. This search I'll simply sit back and trust that Boo is going to find the right guy.

Wade was probably lying through his teeth and talking about all the things he wanted to do next year, and our admin probably trusted him.

Also don't think it would have mattered much other than starting a coaching search sooner, because we were never touching $15m/yr in NIL guarantees, and we probably would have needed to exceed that to keep him. Felt like getting us to hire him basically completely erased the last of the "dirt" on him and opened the door for LSU to hire him. May have been his play all along.

Meh, we're just an early example of the future of college sports.

It really started to wear thin with me with his press conferences, JG issue, our brand person getting the spotlight. The guy ****s on his players and has never played basketball. I always kind of wondered how tf he is so convicted on something he's never done. Anyway, onto the next

This is what pisses me off is that the info was there all along. Screw Wade for that but also how dumb were we to not recognize it and get a real NIL package together that competes with the top 5 ACC schools. Wade wasn't turning down 15 million in NIL at LSU. Gainey or anyone else will be hard pressed to win with only 9 million. We orally need 12 million.

The $15 M was a red herring .

Certain people - Goodman & Giglio are buying that as fact when it's not .

I think that was just the excuse to leave . Even the LSU folks are saying they haven't promised or think they can fund that amount as of today .

On the flip side NC St believing ho huming it with 9M regardless of coach is also troubling given the landscape .

UNC is about to pay a $10M buyout . Fire Hubert . Pay the new guy . Fund a $15 M roster . Pay Belichik $50M.

All while we are rubbing nickels together .

We need to find money .

I'm sure Boo had conversations with Wade and was told many, many times he had nothing to worry about and Wade was returning.

Two things important for our fanbase that may be a little counterintuitive:

1) Do not let him and his camp perpetuate the myth that he didn't have the resources needed to compete. He got arguably the most sought after player in the portal and several other dudes that weren't cheap. There are a lot of coaches out there who could have delivered last season's results, if not better, with the resources in place. The man said himself he had everything needed to win big here and it was the best job he's ever had. DO NOT LET THE FALSE NARRATIVE GAIN OXYGEN when he's going back to a place that fired him and a short while ago would've said was a worse job and basketball situation than what we have in Raleigh.

2) it is also incumbent upon us to collectively step up and make sure that aforementioned myth does not become reality. If you care about this program and have the means to do so, we need to provide our financial support REGARDLESS of who the coach is. It won't make a big difference, but I plan on bumping my monthly payment directed to basketball.

Our program is so much bigger than one person, and NC State basketball will survive. Hell, less than two years ago many of us were packing our bags for Phoenix to watch a team in the Final Four that had comparatively fewer financial resources relative to the competition than we had last year with a coach who understandably was ultimately relieved of his duties.

We have a rich basketball tradition that we can continue to build on - and there are a lot of guys out there who can be successful in this job with our collective support.

I'm not going to knock Boo at all. Just a few days ago, Steve, who I think that all of us trust and have great respect for, believed that WW was staying. It sounds like WW was saying and acting one way and cheating on us in the background. If Boo asked WW how is it going every day of the week and WW says it is going well, that falls on the back stabbing liar.

Will, here's to hoping you get your teeth kicked in in the SEC and end up begging McNeese St to take you back.
