The No. 12 NC State women's tennis team wrapped up its 2025 regular season with a doubleheader on Sunday, April 13, at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, first facing off against Stanford, followed by a matchup with ECU.
The Wolfpack entered the day coming of a dominant 4-0 sweep of the California Golden Bears on Friday evening.
In doubles action, Anna Zyryanova and Jasmine Conway quickly made their presence felt, securing a 6-3 victory at the No. 2 spot. The Cardinals responded with a 6-3 win over Maddy Zampardo and Gabriella Broadfoot on court one, but NC State clinched the doubles point when Kristina Paskauskas and Mia Slama made waves with a 7-5 win.
With a 1-0 lead heading into singles, the Wolfpack sought to close out their regular season strong before heading into postseason play. Early in the singles matches, courts one, four, and five took the first sets for NC State, with freshman Mia Slama leading the charge. Slama breezed through her first set 6-1 and maintained momentum in the second, securing a 6-3 win to put the Wolfpack up 2-0.
Junior Anna Zyryanova, ranked No. 77, faced off against No. 10 Connie Ma in a highly anticipated No. 1 singles matchup. Zyryanova dominated the first set 6-1, and despite a strong push from Ma in the second, Zyryanova held her ground and closed it out 6-3, putting the Wolfpack ahead 3-0.

The Cardinals, however, mounted a comeback, with No. 8 Valerie Glozman winning against No. 89 Zampardo at No. 2 and additional victories on courts three and four. With the match tied at 3-3, all eyes turned to freshman Gabia Paskauskas, who was tasked with clinching the win for NC State. After dropping the first set, Paskauskas battled back, taking the second set 6-3. In a tense third set, Paskauskas pulled away, winning 6-3 to secure the match and cap off the Wolfpack's regular-season conference play with a hard-fought victory.
In the second match of the day, NC State faced ECU in their first doubleheader of the season. The Wolfpack wasted no time establishing dominance. In doubles, Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo delivered a commanding 6-0 win on court one, while Kristina Paskauskas and Mia Slama followed suit with a 6-2 victory on court three to clinch the doubles point.
With the momentum firmly on their side, NC State carried their success into singles, claiming the first set on all six courts. Broadfoot and Jasmine Conway posted impressive 6-0 first-set victories, while Slama and Paskauskas only allowed one game in their first sets.
Slama once again made an impact in singles, winning 6-1, 6-0 over Isabel Rivera Ortiz to put the Wolfpack up 2-0. Broadfoot followed with a 6-0, 6-1 victory to give NC State a 3-0 lead. Paskauskas rounded out the competition with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court six, helping the Wolfpack secure their 16th consecutive victory over ECU, extending their unbeaten streak in the series to 16-0.
With the regular season now complete, the Wolfpack earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming ACC Championships and will advance to the quarterfinals. NC State is set to compete on Friday, April 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Cary Tennis Park.
