Zampardo and Broadfoot just won their semifinal match over the team from Southern Cal in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5. The doubles final tomorrow is currently listed on the schedule for 1:30pm.

I think the way it will work is they will play both the singles and doubles finals tomorrow on the Stadium Court there at Cary Tennis Park. The singles final is scheduled to start at 12:00pm noon. So the doubles start time could be pushed back if the singles match takes longer than an hour and a half...which I think will probably be the case. So I would expect the doubles final will probably start at around 2:00 to 2:30 pm. Looks like a low chance for rain tomorrow, so weather should be good. Also, again...it is free entry and parking for those wanting to attend.

Just a reminder that this ITA All-American event is one of the most prestigious tournaments of the entire year for singles and doubles (not team) - second to the NCAA Championships. NC State won the doubles at this event two years ago in 2022, with the team of Millie Rajecki and Nell Miller.

NC State women's tennis wrapped up the ITA All-American Championship in style, as Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo won the main draw women's doubles championship. Broadfoot and Zampardo automatically earn ITA All-American honors for their victory, becoming the ninth and 10th ITA All-Americans in NC State women's tennis history.

The duo picked up seven wins in seven days on their way to win the title, all against ranked pairs, which wrapped up with a 6-4, 6-4 win over No. 15 Kimmi Hance and Elise Wagle from UCLA on Sunday.

After qualifying for main draw doubles on Tuesday, Broadfoot and Zampardo defeated No. 36 Emma Charney and Imogen Haddad (USC) 6-3, 4-6 (10-4) in the first round. The tandem followed up that victory with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Oklahoma State's Marcela Lopez and Gracie Epps.

Broadfoot and Zampardo then made it to the quarterfinals to play for one of four spots to the NCAA Doubles Championship in Waco in November. The duo came up with a come-from-behind victory over Stanford's No. 19 Alexis Blokhina and Connie Ma, 4-6, 6-4 (10-3). That victory not only punched the duo's ticket to the NCAA Doubles Championship, but sent them to the semifinals of the ITA All-American. Broadfoot and Zampardo then sailed to a 7-5, 7-5 win over USC's Lily Fairclough and Grace Piper, ranked No. 20, to punch their ticket to the final.

In the final, Broadfoot and Zampardo squared up against the No. 15 Hance and Wagle of UCLA. Broadfoot and Zampardo closed out the first set of the match strong, 6-4, and used that momentum to go up early in set two and put a late run by UCLA at bay. The tandem won the second set, 6-4, on their way to the title.

Gabia Paskauskas was close to keeping her streak rolling after winning five matches in four days going into the main draw. She fell to Virginia's Annabelle Xu in three sets (7-6 [7-5], 2-6, 2-6) in the first round. Paskauskas would then move on through the consolation after Texas' Ashton Bowers withdrew, but the freshman would then lose to Bianca Fernandez of Texas, 6-1, 6-0.

The only match on the schedule today for the Wolfpack is the doubles team of Mia Slama and Gabia Paskauskas playing the opening round (round of 64) main draw match (against a team from Gardner-Webb). Currently, it's on the schedule to start at 4:30pm...but that could be pushed back in time (say 15-30 minutes, hypothetically), depending on how long any match on their assigned court goes. No court # is listed/assigned yet, but it looks like they will play all the matches on the outdoor courts at UNC's complex as long as the weather is good, as of all the matches on the draw (at following link) that have been assigned a court, it's the outdoor courts.

Here's the ITA page with the draws/schedule:

As mentioned in the GoPack article above, admission for fans is free.

NC State women's tennis will play in its final regular season fall tournament, as the Pack is ready for action at the 2024 ITA DI Women's East Sectional Championship. The Pack will play at the Chewning Tennis Center at UNC from Thursday, Nov. 7 to Sunday, Nov. 10

The East sectional championship is composed of schools from the Atlantic, Carolina, New England and Northeast regions. The top six singles players (semifinalists and two quarterfinal playoff winners) and three doubles teams (champion, finalist and third-place finisher) will qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships from Nov. 19-24. Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo have already punched their ticket to Waco, Texas, the site of the 2024 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, after winning the ITA All-American Doubles Championship in late September.
Only players and doubles teams who have yet to earn entry into the NCAA Championships and have made deep runs at the ITA All-American or ITA Regional Championships are eligible for participation in the ITA Sectional Championship. Three Wolfpack players will get a shot to punch their ticket to Waco this weekend.

Mia Slama and Broadfoot have had strong fall seasons and will play in singles competition. Starting with the round of 32, Slama will play Duke's No. 49 Katie Codd on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. She is 8-2 in fall play. Broadfoot, ranked No. 108, will face South Carolina's Sarah Hamner at 1 p.m.
In doubles play, Slama and Gabia Paskauskas will play Penn's Eileen Wang & Sabine Rutlauka in the round of 16 on Thursday at 3 p.m. The duo is 5-3 in fall matches.

Victoria Osuigwe, the #2 nationally ranked recruit in the 2025 class officially joins the Wolfpack, with her LOI signed:

She is the highest ranked U.S. recruit to ever sign with NC State women's tennis. Coming off of an phenomenal last 4-5 years where the program has been consistently ranking inside the top 10 in the nation, the future of NC State women's tennis is very bright, as they have been recruiting at an extremely high level over the past 3 years now.

Quote:

RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 2 national recruit Victoria Osuigwe has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the NC State women's tennis program starting in the fall of 2025. Osuigwe is the highest ranked U.S. recruit in NC State women's tennis program history.

"I speak for everyone associated with Pack women's tennis that we are incredibly proud to welcome Tori and her family to the program," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "David and I have worked extremely hard over the past decade to provide an environment that's not just about providing opportunities at the next level during and post college, but growing and scaling players' games to provide for the best opportunity for success in the pros."

For the third straight season, fourth overall, head coach Simon Earnshaw has locked in a top 10 recruit. Freshman Mia Slama was the No. 5 recruit out of the 2024 class, Maddy Zampardo was ranked No. 9 in the 2023 class and Abigail Rencheli came in at No. 9 in 2020.

"Obviously, Tori's parents, Jessica and Desmond, have done an amazing job themselves, have unique insight into this process and fully understand what it takes," added Earnshaw. "Tori will bring tremendous experience and great energy to the program. I expect her to make an immediate impact in the ACC and across the landscape of college tennis. Go Pack!"
