Tenth-ranked NC State Women's Tennis found themselves back in the win column with two wins on Friday, sweeping the doubleheader 5-2 over No. 28 Notre Dame and then 7-0 over East Carolina.

The Wolfpack (10-3) ended their three-game losing streak and open their ACC Conference slate after beating Notre Dame for the ninth straight time. In the nightcap, the Wolfpack continued their dominance against East Carolina, as they have yet to lose in their 31 meetings.

After starting the afternoon on the outdoor courts for the first time of the season, rain pushed the Wolfpack back on the indoor courts, but it didn't slow them down.

As they have done so many times this season, No. 13 Amelia Rajecki and Maddy Zampardo picked up a ranked win over No. 32 Carrie Beckman and Julia Andreach, cursing to a 6-1 win. Court three saw Gabriella Broadfoot and Abigail Rencheli win 6-1 as well to put the Wolfpack ahead.

Gina Dittmann and Kristina Paskauskas secured their second doubles victory of the season to help NC State claim the doubles point over the Pirates. They won 6-2 and moved to 2-0 as a pair.

In singles play against the Fighting Irish, the Wolfpack picked up wins on courts one, three, five, and six. Only one match went to three sets as No. 44 Sophie Abrams fell after clinching the first set but dropping the next two.

Dittmann was the first to finish her singles match in straight sets, winning 6-1 and 6-0. It is the second time this season that the senior has won back-to-back games.

Not dropping a set all day was Zampardo, who won 6-4, 6-0 against Carrie Beckman of Notre Dame and 6-2, 6-2 against Isabella Ortiz. While No. 3 Rajecki also continued her impressive season with two more wins on the day.

Freshman Broadfoot earned her second win of the season after defeating. Kexuan Zhou. To close out the night, Paskauskas came away with her fourth win of the year, beating Joan Madi 6-1 and 6-2. It was Paskauskas fourth two set victory of the season.

Up Next
The Wolfpack will have a day of rest before another doubleheader on Sunday, May 3, beginning at noon when they welcome Louisville, followed by East Tennessee State at 4 p.m.

Tenth-ranked NC State women's tennis extended their win streak to four matches with another doubleheader sweep from the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on Sunday. First, the Wolfpack moved to 2-0 in ACC play with a 5-2 win over Louisville, followed by a 7-0 victory over No. 75 East Tennessee State.

Starting the day was NC State (12-3) winning on all three doubles courts against Louisville (4-7), heading into singles play and claiming the doubles point against ETSU (5-5), winning two with the third match going unfinished.

The Wolfpack saw big days from No. 3 Amelia Rajecki and Gina Dittmann, as both won in straight sets in both matches, not allowing either of their opponents to win more than three games in the set.

Wolfpack freshman No. 44 Maddy Zampardo and Gabriella Broadfoot each added a win to their name, with Zampardo beating Jana Rovira of ETSU 6-2, 6-1 on court four, and Broadfoot right next to her, on court six beat Ralitsa Alexandrova 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4).

In the match with the Cardinals, three courts went to a third set 10-point super tiebreaker, with the visitors claiming two out of the three courts. Abigail Rencheli won her match 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 1-0 (10-5) over Lika Peresypkina to give NC State the 5-2 victory.

Rencheli also secured the victory over ETSU, winning 7-6 (7-4) and 6-4 over Daniela Rivera to complete the 7-0 doubleheader sweep.

With their victories, Rencheli and Rajecki continue to climb up the Wolfpack career singles and double wins list. Rajecki now sits in third with 94 career wins, with Rencheli right behind her in fifth with 90. With two more double wins today, Rencheli is in sixth with 81, and Sophie Abrams won both her doubles matches as well to give her 66, where she sits in eighth.

Tough couple of losses to Michigan and Oklahoma over a week ago. But now back up to #6 in the latest national rankings. UVa is #4 and UNC #5. So looks to be a tight race for the ACC Championship this year, especially if UNC can't get their top player (Brantmeier) back from injury.

There's a lot of parity among the teams ranked about #4 to #20. So if we don't bring our A game, we could lose to a team like Oklahoma (currently #20). Duke is a little down this year, currently ranked #21. Really hope we can get a win against them this year, as we haven't beaten them in a few years now.

The sixth-ranked Wolfpack women's tennis team will look to extend its four-match winning streak as it continues conference play with a matchup with in-state opponent Wake Forest on Friday, March 8th, at noon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

The Wolfpack look to remain unbeaten at home this season (9-0). Fans looking to attend the match on Friday will need to secure a parking permit. Instructions on securing a parking permit can be found HERE.

If you cannot make it to the math, live scoring is available HERE, and Cracked Rackets will be streaming and covering the match. The broadcast will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.

NC State (12-3, 2-0) is unbeaten in conference play after opening the ACC slate with 5-2 victories over Notre Dame and Louisville.

Despite the Demon Deacons' advantage in the overall series (42-15), which dates back to 1978, the Wolfpack has won 10 straight matches since 2015.

Looking to lead the Wolfpack once again will be two-time ACC Player of the Week this season Amelia Rajecki and the reigning ACC Freshman of the Week Maddy Zampardo. Both went undefeated last week, combining to go 11-0 over four matches in both singles and doubles play.

In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings, released on Tuesday, Rajecki and Zampardo moved up to 10th in the nation in doubles.

The Wolfpack sees half the team ranked among the top 100 singles players in the country, with Rajecki leading the way at No. 3, followed by Anna Zyryanova (No. 34), Abigail Rencheli (No. 37), and Sophie Abrams (No. 82).

Abrams and Zyryanova are the ninth-ranked doubles in the nation, joining Rajecki and Zampardo among the top 10, as NC State remains the only program with two doubles teams in the country.

Senior leadership has led the Wolfpack this season as Rajecki, Rencheli and Abrams all are moving up the NC State record books in career singles and doubles wins. With 94 career singles wins and 92 doubles victories Rajecki sits in fourth in each category. Rencheli follows her closely in fifth with 90 singles wins and Abrams rounds it out with 77 sitting in 10th.
