Yes. Maybe coach figured he needed to switch things up since we had lost the doubles point against unc and michigan at the ITA Indoors.

And correction...Rajecki and Zampardo were up a break at 5-3 when their match was abandoned, and Michigan was serving at 40-30 and were about to hold to make it 5-4. But Rajecki and Zampardo had the advantage, and probably would have won.

The #5 NC State women's tennis team fell to #2 Michigan 4-0, Thursday evening at the Varsity Tennis Center.

The Pack opened the night by securing the point in doubles play. No. 9 Sophie Abrams and Anna Zyryanova won on court two after maintaining the lead. The duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Abigail Renchelli battled back-and-forth with the Wolverines on court three, but came out on top to secure the point for the Pack.

Michigan jumped out to an early lead on courts three, five, and six in singles play. The Wolverines won on court five and six to take the 2-1 lead over the Pack.

Ana Zyryanova battled on court three. After dropping the first game 2-6, she won the second 6-3. Gala Mesochoritou bounced back for the Wolverines to defeat Zyryanova 6-3 in the third game to pick up the third point for the Wolverines.

Michigan picked its fourth point of the evening on court four. Abrams battled with Jaedan Brown for three games. After Abrams took the first 6-2, Brown bounced back with a 6-4 win. The third game was a back-and-forth battle, but Brown came out on top 6-3.

The Pack will head to Norman, OK to take on the Sooners on Sunday Feb. 25. Play is set to begin at 12pm.

The No. 6 NC State women's tennis team continues their road trip on Sunday, Feb. 25, as they take on the Oklahoma Sooners at noon from the Headington Family Tennis Center.

Sunday's match against the Sooners will not be streamed, but fans can follow along with the match through live stats

This will be the second straight year these two programs have squared off with one another, with the last match taking place in Raleigh last season, which saw the Wolfpack win comfortably 6-1. The Sooners lead the overall series 2-1 with the first meeting taking place in 1993.

The Sooners (4-3) are coming off a ranked win on Friday after beating No. 12 San Diego 4-3. Like the Wolfpack, the Sooners have plenty of names in the ITA rankings: No. 38 Dana Guzman, No. 41 Florencia Urrutia, No. 74. Alina Shcherbinina, No. 93 Julia Garcia Ruiz, and No. 98 Ava Catanzarite.

The Wolfpack dropped their third straight match on Sunday as they fell to Oklahoma on Sunday 4-2 from the Headington Family Tennis Center.

Despite dropping the doubles point, the Wolfpack looked to get back in the match during singles play, picking up first-set wins on four courts but only securing two wins afterward.

The first win came from No. 27 Anna Zyryanova on court three as she picked up a ranked win against No. 98 Ava Catanzarite 6-4, 7-6.

Freshman Maddy Zampardo picked up her fourth win of the season and first in three matches after holding off Roisin Gilheany in straight sets 6-2 and 7-6.

No. 44 Sophie Abrams got off to a fast start, winning her first set 6-2, but dropped sets two and three 6-4 to Chloe Noel.

Gabriella Broadfoot put up a fight on court six in only her second singles match this season. After falling in the first set, Broadfoot won the second set 6-2 but dropped the third set 6-0.

On court one, No. 3 Amelia Rajecki faced No. 38 Dana Guzman and secured the first set 6-4. However, Guzman evened the match in the second 7-6 before their match was abandoned, with the Sooners having secured the victory.

After 33 days on the road, NC State Women's tennis returns to the J.W.Isenhour Tennis Center for four matches over two days beginning on March 1 at 2 p.m. as they open ACC Conference play against No. 28 Notre Dame followed by a match against East Carolina at 6 p.m.

Sunday, March 3rd will see the Wolfpack in another doubleheader, with NC State taking on Louisville at 12 p.m. and No. 75 East Tennessee State at 4 p.m.

All matches this weekend will be streamed live on TrackTennis, and live scores are available here. Fans looking to attend the 2 p.m. match on Friday will need to secure a parking permit. Instructions on securing a parking permit can be found HERE. Both of this Sunday's matches are free to attend, and nearby parking is also free of charge.

No. 21 Notre Dame
NC State leads the all-time series 8-3, having won the last eight straight matchups dating back to 2016. The fighting Irish come to Raleigh 9-3 and 1-1 in conference play.

East Carolina
This will be the 31st all-time matchup between these two in-state opponents. The Wolfpack are 30-0 against the Pirates. These two programs first matched up in 1978 and have played one another every year for the past 11 years.

Louisville
The Wolfpack will take a nine-game win streak against the Cardinals into Sunday's matchup. Louisville is currently 4-5 on the season and 0-2 in ACC play.

No. 75 ETSU
First meeting in 1986, The Wolfpack has never lost to East Tennessee State, taking an 8-0 record into Sunday. This will be the seventh straight season the Buccaneers and Wolfpack will meet.
