NC State will open play in the Greenville Regional on Friday against Campbell
The Wolfpack is the No. 2 seed in the regional, and No. 1 seed East Carolina is the host team. The winner of the Greenville Regional will face the winner of the Louisville Regional.

I agree PFL! Some of the people here blowing sunshine must really not understand the game or recognize how bad Avent is as an in-game manager. If Parker has shoulder soreness then you don't start him in first place. Avent blew this game for the team just like his wonderful pinch hitter decisions did on Friday. He is clueless on how to win when it counts and he's had 23 yrs to prove otherwise. He doesn't EVER get the job done.

I've played over 7,000 games in my career on a diamond.. Yes, you heard that correct 7,000. I've coached baseball in some form for over 15 years on top of those games I actually played. My travel team was one of the top teams in the state for about three years. The high school that I've helped for the past 10 years has been in four Eastern Finals in the last ten years and just played in the state championship yesterday. I've got a son and three nephews that signed college scholarships. One of my nephews actually caught Jason Parker last year at Louisburg. I've known Jack's dad since our travel ball days, as Jack coached his own team, and was the only person I'd let my kids play with other than myself.
Anything else you'd like to know about my baseball pedigree/knowledge?
