NC State Opens NCAA Tourney Play In The Greenville Regional

NC State will open play in the Greenville Regional on Friday against Campbell

The Wolfpack is the No. 2 seed in the regional, and No. 1 seed East Carolina is the host team.  The winner of the Greenville Regional will face the winner of the Louisville Regional.

Three hard hit balls to left, only one hit. That's baseball. Good catches, but the left fielder is shading towards center, if we can pull one down the line it would be easy extra bases.

I'm an Avent supporter but taking Parker out was a bad move. He was pitching well. Now we need 2 minimum off their ace who will be fired up getting the lead. Dammit

As the announcer said, that was a 50/50 call due to being an elimination game. You only do it if your relievers are tough, solid and mature.

Should be 2-1 if not for a terrible throw. Not a good decision by Avent but justice got a double play ball that could have ended the inning. Need to stop the bleeding right now and get the bats going again.

very good point, have to show more confidence in your starter who was pitching well. Now we wasted two relievers and we are only through 3 innings.

Butler swinging at the first pitch and hitting into an inning ending double play against a struggling pitcher who had just gotten a visit to the mound sums up Avent baseball. That first pitch should have been a take all the way. We were on the verge of having an inning like ECTC just had to blow the game open, and instead we **** the bed and bail the other team out just like always.
