NC State Opens NCAA Tourney Play In The Greenville Regional

NC State will open play in the Greenville Regional on Friday against Campbell

The Wolfpack is the No. 2 seed in the regional, and No. 1 seed East Carolina is the host team.  The winner of the Greenville Regional will face the winner of the Louisville Regional.

Does this help or hurt us? At the very least if chases their pitcher out of the game.
Their pitcher has thrown almost 120 pitches. I'm surprised he was out there anyways. All this does is speed up Campbell getting a fresh arm on the mound.

Oh I agree with you.. Wilson needs to see someone new after the day he's had. Best thing for him is to see a different ball thrown at him.

Someone pointed out during the Louisville series that we never seem to do well with weather delays (Florida, Coastal, etc). Hopefully we flip that trend today

57 pitches. And yes, he would be available again Sunday I'm sure. 57 pitches isn't a ton, and all logic re pitch counts go out the window in regional scenarios.
