Anna Rogers and Alana Smith represented @PackWtennis in the NCAA Singles Championship.

Rogers made it all the way to the quarterfinals, becoming the first member of the program to reach that round.

.@PackWTennis delivered on its pressure to perform, defeating VCU, USC and Georgia on its way to the final 4 of the NCAA team championship.

Earnshaw: "...if you make it to the final four, why are you not trying to win?"

After garnering regional honors a week ago, NC State women's tennis' Anna Rogers earned national recognition as the 2021 ITA Most Improved Senior, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday afternoon.

She was chosen as the winner of the yearly award from a group of 12 regional winners and finalists from across the nation. Rogers leaves NC State as the winningest doubles player in program history (157) and ranked second on the program list in singles wins (117).

The fifth-year senior recently completed the best individual campaign of her Wolfpack career and also helped lead NC State to new heights as a team. A native of Stamford, Conn., Rogers became the first All-American in program history with a top-16 seed in the NCAA Championships singles draw in 2019. She has since been a two-time singles All-American (2019, 2021) and a three-time doubles All-American (2019, 2020, 2021).

Rogers wrapped up her decorated career with a program-best run to the NCAA Singles Championships quarterfinal round. She was ranked No. 9 nationally to end the 2021 season, bettering her own record for the highest final singles ranking in program history.

During the 2021 campaign, she compiled a team-best 22-11 singles record and went 14-10 in dual matches at the No. 1 singles spot. Rogers posted 14 wins against ranked opponents, with her highest ranked victory of the year coming against the nation's No. 21 player. She earned First Team All-ACC honors, the first player in program history to be named to the all-conference team four times.

She was equally impressive in doubles action, where she and partner Alana Smith bettered their own program-best NCAA Doubles Championships run by reaching the national semifinals. They posted a 26-10 record as a duo, with those 26 doubles wins ranking as a top 10 single-season mark in team history even in a shortened season. Rogers wrapped up her successful doubles career with a No. 10 national ranking following the season.
