Facing off against the Blue Devils in individual action for the second weekend in a row, the No. 8 NC State women's tennis team continued competition at the UNC Invitational with another full day of matches.

After Saturday's action, fifth-year senior Anna Rogers finds herself just one win away from 100 career singles victories. She entered the season with 95 wins and improved to 4-0 in 2021 action with the 6-3, 6-3 win over Duke's 29th-ranked Chloe Beck.

Lana Mavor also remained unbeaten in singles action this season with a three-setter against Ema Lazic. The Wolfpack sophomore battled back from a set down to take the match by a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 score.

Lexi Keberle also picked up a Saturday singles win as she took down Hannah Zhao 7-5, 5-7, 6-0.

In doubles, Jaeda Daniel and Adriana Reami posted their first victories over a ranked opponent this season. The 16th-ranked duo won by retirement to start the day and then went on to beat No. 56 Georgia Drummy and Karolina Berankova 6-1.

Freshmen Abigail Rencheli and Amelia Rajecki also paired up for a doubles win on the day, defeating Duke's Margaryta Bilokin and Ema Lazic by a 6-2 score.

NC State will play host to matches against Virginia on Sunday to round out the UNC Invitational. That final round of play is set to begin at 11 a.m.

The eighth-ranked NC State women's tennis team concluded its weekend of action in the UNC Invitational by winning five of six doubles matches and four of five singles contests.

Senior Anna Rogers highlighted the day for the Wolfpack as she picked up her 100th career singles victory. She joined teammate Adriana Reami as just the second player in program history to reach that mark, and she is the first player in NC State women's tennis history to reach the century mark in both singles and doubles.



The Pack started out strong in doubles with its top two pairs both going unbeaten through two rounds of action. In the first rotation, second-ranked Rogers and Alana Smith cruised past Sofia Munera and Natasha Subhash 6-1, while 16th-ranked Reami and Jaeda Daniel took care of business with a 6-3 decision over No. 31 Vivian Glozman and Rosie Johanson.

The duos went on to swap opponents in the second round, with Rogers and Smith beating Glozman/Johanson 6-4 and Reami and Daniel winning 6-2 over Munera/Subhash. Lana Mavor and Amelia Rajecki added the fifth doubles win for NC State as they defeated Virginia's Amber O'Dell and Hibah Shaikh 6-4.

Rogers' 100th career win was the first singles victory for the Wolfpack on the afternoon as she defeated Hibah Shaikh 7-5, 6-1.

No. 23 Smith added a win in a three-setter against No. 47 Johanson, taking down the Cavalier by a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 score.

Lexi Keberle also won in three sets, as she came from a frame down to beat Virginia's 104th-ranked Amber O'Dell 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Reami picked up her first individual decision of the season as she beat Glozman 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

After spending its last two weekends getting individual singles and doubles matches in the books, the eighth-ranked NC State women's tennis team will step into dual match again on Wednesday afternoon. The Wolfpack is set to take on the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks on the road, with first serve set for 1 p.m. from the Carolina Tennis Center.

The Gamecocks were ranked 20th nationally in the Oracle ITA Preseason Team Rankings after posting an 8-4 dual record in 2020. Three South Carolina players are featured in the singles rankings - No. 30 Megan Davies, No. 34 Mia Horvit and No. 93 Emma Shelton - and two doubles pairs are ranked as well - No. 20 Shelton/Chinellato and No. 29 Horvit/Davies.

South Carolina has already played a pair of dual matches, taking home early-season wins over East Tennessee State and Coastal Carolina.

NC State and South Carolina last faced off on Jan. 18, 2020 in Raleigh. The Pack cruised to the 6-1 win over the then-No. 9 Gamecocks for what at the time marked the program's first-eve

Dual action continues for the eighth-ranked NC State women's tennis team (1-0) as it prepares to host the 2021 ITA Kick-Off Weekend matches on Jan. 24 and Jan. 25.

The Wolfpack squad is set to compete in its fifth consecutive Kick-Off Weekend and is serving as a host for the second season in a row. NC State is the No. 1 seed for tournament action in Raleigh and welcomes 16th-ranked Wake Forest, 18th-ranked Central Florida and Northwestern to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

Due to health and safety recommendations and current state guidelines, matches at the Isenhour Tennis Center are closed to the public.

MATCH INFO:
All teams at the regional will be guaranteed two matches, as the winners and losers from Sunday's competition will face off on Monday. The overall winner from the Raleigh site will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The eight-team national tournament set to be played Feb. 5-7 at the Greenwood Tennis Center on the campus of Oklahoma State.
