NC State women's tennis (20-5) continues its historic NCAA Championships run on Friday morning. The sixth-seeded Wolfpack will face second-seeded Texas (29-1) in the national semifinal match at 11 a.m. from the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla.

With a victory over the Longhorns, NC State would advance to Saturday's national championship match where it would face either No. 1 North Carolina or No. 5 Pepperdine.

ATTENDANCE POLICY AND TICKETS:
The NCAA has updated its policies regarding the capacity of its championships events. As a result, capacity for the ongoing NCAA Division I Tennis Championships will increase to 100% for all remaining sessions. Tickets are on sale for all remaining sessions of the team event, which concludes Saturday, as well as for the individual event which runs Sunday, May 23 through Friday, May 28.

SCOUTING THE LONGHORNS:
Texas is making its 36th NCAA Championships appearance after compiling a 29-1 record in dual matches this season. The Longhorns won NCAA team titles in 1993 and 1995 and also reached the 1992 and 2005 title matches. The team is ranked second nationally, a spot that it has held for the majority of the season.

Anna Turati (No. 35), Peyton Stearns (No. 37), Lulu Sun (No. 62) Kylie Collins (No. 72) and Charlotte Chavatipon (No. 76) are all ranked in the top 100 in singles. Texas also has two ranked doubles pairs in Collins and Sun (No. 19) and Stearns and Chavatipon (No. 47).

Friday is just the second meeting between NC State and Texas. The teams met for the first time in history at the ITA National Team Indoors event in 2020. The Longhorns won a hard- fought battle by a 4-3 score that came down to a three setter between Fernanda Labrana and Lexi Keberle on court four.

In that match, NC State won the doubles point and also got singles victories from Adriana Reami and Jaeda Daniel. Reami's win over Ardri Nagy was the 100th singles victory of her career.
