Civ: yep…he's a republican
You're aware that Nick Fuentes and other alt-right extremist agitators and folks like Laura Loomer regularly called out Charlie Kirk as being fascist, right? That they viewed him as being too establishment and not right enough?
You're also aware that the slogans on the bullets are anti-trans, anti-gay slogans commonly used by followers of Fuentes?
And finally you're aware that Nick Fuentes himself came out yesterday denouncing and disavowing violence by his followers?
Fox News likely didn't mention any of this yesterday I bet but the biggest clue that this kid may not have been the rad-lib lefty convert you're making him out to be is the crickets from all the leaders and advisors that were so irresponsibly calling for civil war and crying about the radical left for a day and a half.
Think maybe that's a sign they think the call may have come from inside the building?
One of the bullets read "Hey fascist, catch". I guess msnbc must've left that one off. He was a leftist and I can't believe you're arguing otherwise but I shouldn't be surprised.
I guess the governor and his family are all lying.
"At a press conference announcing Robinson's arrest Friday, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said a family member told investigators, "Robinson had become more political in recent years," and expressed dislike for Kirk, who Robinson said was "full of hate" and "spreading hate."
Investigators are still looking through evidence and trying to determine a motive in the slaying.
Along with a bolt-action rifle that was abandoned in a wooded area, investigators also recovered ammunition that bore various markings, according to authorities.
Engraving on one bullet casing in the rifle read, "Hey fascist! Catch!" according to Cox.
Other casings bore references to memes from online chat rooms, including "notices, bulges, OwO, what's this?" and "If you read this, you are gay LMAO." One was etched with lyrics from an Italian antifascism song from World War II
When asked about the motive of the gunman, Cox suggested the "Hey fascist" marking clearly showed the gunman's intent: "I think that speaks for itself," he said."
Yep, go read about Fuentes' Groyper culture. Nearly a million of his followers get to listen to Fuentes regularly accuse Kirk of being a fascist.
And then listen to Fuentes disavow violence by his followers yesterday. That community thinks Robinson was quite possibly one of them.
All these slogans fit more neatly within that group than any other. Again, anti-gay, anti-trans, anti-fascism is exactly what they're about.
Most shooters like this profile as young, white, disaffected, and without any coherent ideology.
But if you're taking bets, doesn't it seem somewhat more likely that a kid that grew up ensconced in right-wing culture and wore Trump Halloween costumes and loved guns and was raised in a very conservative church in a very conservative state went a few clicks further right, and found Fuentes, than he suddenly went twenty clicks left and suddenly fell into rad-lib extremism (which is also far less often violent)?
I mean anything is possible but which seems more probable?
